i really needed this today. not sure why i've been so worrisome lately, especially with how great things have been going. this note from the universe really hit home for me and had me all choked up in my cubicle. i figured you might get a kick out of it, too.

in case you haven't heard yet, the premier run of Beneath was a huge success.
we sold out all four nights, almost every LA news network sent reporters and camera crews to the shows, and we all had a fucking blast. in fact, we had such a blast that we decided to do it again!

due to overwhelming demand, we're extending the run of the show for two more days - Friday August 1st and Saturday August 2nd.

tickets are on sale and going FAST. (i guess a kick ass show supported by a shit-ton of media exposure will do that)

the CIRCUS is COMING TO TOWN!

that's right, y'all.
after three or four(ish) years of fundraising, mime bashing and burningman-ing, Cirque Berzerk is finally doing a full run of circus shows in downtown LA complete with klowns, fire, aerial acrobatics, little people, really tall people, an original score - and all under our big top.

the entire crew has been working SO freakin' hard on making this a mind blowing and ass rocking show.
and i say that having by FAR the easiest job out of any carnie involved.

people are going to be talking about this show for a long time, so do yourself a favor and buy your tickets now!

wow.
holy crap, wow.

that was one helluva weekend.
and it was EXACTLY what i needed.

way, WAY too many highlights to list... so i won't even start.
let's just say, it was perfect.

i am still overflowing with all kinds of mushy hippie love sauce, and i will probably continue to ooze for quite a while.
thank you SO much to the DO Lab and all their hard working volunteers.

APPARAT - live @ KFLA

i'm not playing at this event, just giving a shout out because this is going to be an amazing night of music.

Apparat is one of my favorite producers and musicians. his music is melodic, melancholy, and crosses way too many genre barriers to list. basically, he's the man. next monday (May 19th) he's playing live (with a full band) at the knitting factory in hollywood.
if you haven't been before, the knitting factory is a GREAT venue.

i'm beyond stoked that i get to see someone i respect so much in such an intimate setting.
and the tickets are only $12 at the door.
crazy.

i wanna shout a big ol' THANK YOU to everyone that came out for the POCKET shindig on saturday.
it turned out exactly how we wanted - great people, great music, and TONS of fun.

i loved the fact that i recognized almost everyone there. it was like a really great house party with a bunch of fabulous weirdos. thank you all so much for coming out and shakin' what yo' mommas gave ya. we're tickled purple that you chose to spend your saturday night with us. :)

big thanks to the LALA crew for keeping it swanky in the b-room and to the Wandering Marionettes for bringing the STRANGE.

POCKET DJs bringin' the filth, LALA DJs bringin' the sultry vibe, cozy underground venue, and you. we're limiting capacity at 300 to make sure everyone has plenty o' room to dance. no long lines. no hollywood egos. no high drink prices - in fact, we're not even selling drinks. BYOB, y'all. we'll have a mixer bar with ice and cups, and you fix your own cocktails with your own fixin's. or bring an ice chest with your goodies and park it next to the dancefloor. this event is about you.
