Undeniably strong and generous. Unknowingly fragil and tender. My quick friend, my fast foe, the greatest forgiveness I've been gifted. She's living her deeply sensitive and aware, thankfully.

Don't ask and ye shall receive.
I never knew that what I wanted all my life was my very own action figure. That is until I got one this year for my birthday. It is amazing, just like Nicole. She is someone that I like around me. She picks up on the absudities of life that I see and that always leads to laughing. June 19, 2005
Technopatra has a kind heart, an endearing smile, and warmth that can fill the coldest of rooms. She can spin a yarn with the best of them. I'm always fascinated by her stories and her views on life. I cherish her insights and her friendship.

Technopatra is such a strong, deep, amazing woman full of such depth and compassion. I really love and admire how she communicates information and when I grow up I wanna be just like her. Nothin' but love for this woman!

Nicole is my urban doppelganger, a secret uber-twin, disconnected from mother ship prior to conception. She leads the life that I would have lived had I moved to the city. Nicole is passionate and, without effort, seems to inspire those around her to be more creative and productive. For that, we owe her lots and lots of exceptionally good hugs.

On another list someone else brought up the theory that Obama-driven new voters are why Prop 8 passed. I can't stop thinking about it, but I have come to a conclusion: My opinion is that it's a distracting argument born of racially-based fear... read more
I had a HEART ATTACK when I saw the size of my voter pamphlet...until, as I was reaching for a nitroglycerin tablet and a defibrulator, I realized that the Alameda Co. pamphlet covers a bunch of cities. Duh! Being used to the city and county of SF, I forgot that other counties do indeed have more that one city on them. Whew!!

Usual methodology applies: I read the voter booklets and try to understand what I can, then I go to the State Attorney's legislative analysts' site, then check vario... read more
Well I thought if I moved across the bay that I'd have a smaller ballot to contend with, but so many of my SF peeps asked for another voter guide this year, I couldn't say no. Also, what goes on in SF has such a significant effect on the rest of the Bay Area, it kinda felt wrong not to.

But fer chrissakes... a 268 page voter pamphlet? With 22 propositions? With 25 pages of instructions? And one of them to inform us of the Ballot Simplification committee, whom I think should all b... read more
