About two weeks ago my little girl's hamster got loose. It took a while, but I finally found him. All was well in the world...or was it? So tonight I'm getting ready to go dance. I pull out my green costume, but notice a three inch hole in the edge of the green silk veil! It must have gotten caught in the closet and torn, right? My friend Aliya passed away this weekend. She was overcome by a brief and agressive form of cancer. From the time of her diagnosis to the time of her death was only seven weeks. I still can't wrap my brain around it.

The last time I saw her was at the Tiraz Convention on May 19 this year. She was the featured dancer. I was vending. We both took our turn as demonstrators for the Fitness Pharaoh. When I saw her, I gave her a big hug and told her how great she looked after all her work... read more

What a show! Anthea performed a beautiful veil poi dance. It was totally sublime, drawing you into a peaceful spell to sit entranced while she made beautiful symmetrical patterns in the air around her, her expression like a child in wonder at the colors she wove through the air.
