Learning, Marriage, Public Speaking and Deadlines

So a friend of mine will be getting married soon, and I've been asked to say something on the topic of 'learning' at the event. Since 'learning' is pretty broad I figured I would focus it on learning related to marriage. I know that just sitting around and thinking about this isn't likely to produce any good material, so I thought I'd ask everyone around here to answer these three questions:

1. What is the most important thing you learned before you got married?

2. What is the most important thing you learned after you got married? (If you're not married yet, what do you think the most important thing you might learn after marriage would be?)

3. What do you think you still need to learn?

Extra credit for answers given in the form of a haiku. For example, for #2 I might answer:

Hot spicy sardines
come home in the groceries
Who have I married?

...although frankly that's not that important.
