Birthday Thoughts

   Sun, April 1, 2007 - 5:38 PM
Well today I turn 34, no longer a spring chicken, but not yet an old fart so really I am sitting right in the sweet spot. I was going to head out snowboarding today, but decided to have a quiet weekend in with my sweetheart and do some house reno's instead. I have so many things to be thankful for, and today I have been pondering and acknowledging as many as possible... and thinking about all the possibilities for growth and adventure still to come. I must admit that while I am really enjoying getting older, I am not too thrilled about my mortality. Although I had a really incredible conversation last weekend with a friend about the Buddhist concepts of emptiness and nothingness, and by beginning to understand how it is that they differ I came to a new level of peacefulness with regards to the great beyond. But for now I am really digging what's going on in my life so I am pretty keen to stick around!!!

Happy Birthday Darvin :)
That is so wierd! Wes and I were going to go skiing yesterday too and ended up doing the reno thing...We also had a very profound conversation about different theories on life and time that are really non existant. The closer we come to 2012 the more enlightened we all seem!! how incredible!

AGING
Happy B'day! You sound like you have the right mind set as far as the whole aging thing goes...I too am creeping up there in numbers but feel like my life is just starting out. New beginnings, new friends, new experiences, that's what we are here for.

P.S. Say hi to your sweetheart me.
