Hanging with Ali is like living out one of those 1930's adventure serials that inspired Indiana Jones, but with more beautiful women and few clashes with thugs, crooked scholars and cannibals. Anyone who meets her will surely recognize that in past incarnations Ali has been a one-armed Balinese card shark, Pancho Villa's barber and a carnival fortune teller from West Virginia. In this life she has been a school and dance teacher, magazine publisher and professional tribal bellydancer (all in New Orleans, no less). Her reincarnations get progressively interesting. I am eager to see what she'll be next.
