- Referrals for a good salon for my 'do
- Tux
- Last but not least, an officiant! (Non-Jesus / totally secular desired)
- CHEAP invitations
Anybody get married around here in DC/MD who could help?

Hey, sweetie! I saw your photos of the venue; when are ya doin' it, huh? Huh?
We're looking at printing our own invites -- then we have total control over them, we don't have to pay for engraving/printing, and we can be sure they don't have embossed hears or cherubs on them. (July 7, BTW) The court in DC apparently has a list of officiants: www.dccourts.gov/dccourts/...rriage.jsp And in Maryland, supposedly, any member of the clergy can perform a wedding, so long as you both agree he/she is clergy (unlike DC, which requires a religious organization, or "reputable" citizen, to agree that your officiant is clergy): www.reeves-hall.org/clergy_w...eg_US.htm (Here in CA, we can get a friend deputized to perform our wedding, which I think is what we're going to do.) I was looking at places online, but I seriously wish that there were pre-printed wedding invites out there somewhere (a la birthday party invites) where you could just fill in the name, date, etc. I hate all this doves and intertwined ring bullshit. I was wondering if you still had a blog somewhere... I'll check it out.
Now, where were we looking at ordering...? Um... We're in more of the "thinking about" than the "looking at" phase. (I'm so not good at this planning things thing. Dan's better at it, so I tend to leave it to him. And he actually designed an invite in Photoshop ages ago -- we may just buy some nice paper and print them out ourselves.)
