Rage Against the Machine on Valium...". Thought-provoking lyrics, edgy rhythms, and powerful messages on topical political and social issues.
"Sea of Mass Confusion" released in 2006 is the latest project for this ambitious singer, songwriter, guitarist, political columnist, activist, and successful entrepreneur from San Diego, California. Born in the Rust Belt of Cleveland, Ohio, Farkas began his professional music career at age 14 sharing Northern Ohio stages with other “young” artists like Joe Walsh (Eagles), Benjamin Orr (Cars), and Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders). He continued his music career while majoring in political science at Hiram College. With a volatile political and social climate, Farkas’ songwriting was influenced by the loss of his cousin in Vietnam and the Kent State shootings. He took a hiatus from his music career to build an international computer company in the 90’s. In 1999, Farkas felt the hole in his heart remaining from his departure of the the music business. He sold everything he owned, moved to California and returned to his passion: music. His re-entry effort, Self Help for a Sick Society, was three years in the making. Produced by platinum producer Dito Godwin (No Doubt, Kiss, Great White) Self-Help represents some of the most thought-provoking, powerful messages since the protest rock era of the 60’s. "Colonel Ted", and "Sea of Mass Confusion" are currently moving up the Internet, college, and community radio charts as two of the most requested songs. Sea of Mass Confusion (the single) is currently in the Top 100 of the 1,500+ pprotest songs on Neil Young.com's website. The video of SOMC is currently #15 on Neil's website of Top 200 protest videos. You can view this at : www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/...page.html. His new CD, "Sea of Mass Confusion" is due out this Spring. Farkas’ emotional Morrision-esque delivery and "storyteller-style” live shows an attractive draw for most any venue. In addition to touring with No Parachute, Bill finds time to write “The Daily Rant”, an interactive political blog at www.billfarkas.com with now over 4.2 million readers. Farkas is active in ASCAP, Songsalive, LA Songnet, JPF, and NSAI. He hosted the longest running Performing Songwriter Showcase in San Diego at Claire de Lune’s. He also hosted The Weekly Rant on WWW.BZOO.COM podcast network for over a year.

The "Last Hurrah“ was a bust. But then I didn’t expect it to be any different than Dubya’s last six cracks at it. His State of the Union addresses have come to be characterized as “slo-pitch" softball... everything underhand; no fast balls... just those sneaky, low and outside half-speed pitches at the knees…borderline strikes, that wouldn’t get any calls if the umpire wasn’t on the take and the playing field wasn’t tilted his way.

In my ongoing pursuit of the role of "Boogie Man of the Blogs", I will try to temper my zeal to provide proactive information with a softer, more considerate delivery today. Some comments this week on previous rants concerning Iran have earned me the accusation of "trying to scare the bejesus out of my readers". I will try to be much more gentle and uplifting as I report what actually happened to me this week.

That's my "Pick Hit of the Week" after Mitt Romney threatened to run the Senator clean out of the Republican Party, Washington DC and even his home state of Idaho for getting horny at the wrong time in the wrong place. Larry "I'm Not Gay" Craig seemed to see the light and resigned his Senate seat this week. Or has he? C'mon, Larry… "Git 'er dun!"

Today, a new interest group, Freedom's Watch, led by allies of the Crime Family…. eerrrr…. The Bush administration — including Sheldon G. Adelson--- is launching $15 million worth of war propaganda ads designed to tug at your heart strings about the dire situation in Iraq. Keep in mind, there are trying to make us, the viewer, feel bad for these tragedies brought about by their invasion of a neutral country, without cause, based on faulty intelligence, lying to the world about everything conn...

It's all falling into place isn't it, Have-Nots? All the little "Bushies" running to their private retreats to begin working on their "joint defenses" against Congressional inquiries. (Hope you won the year of free Ben & Jerry's ice cream and nailed the exact time and day Gonzo would be gonzo!)
