True Goddessliciousness in every way! Mary is a sublime individual whom I cherish as guide, collaborator, and, as of this year, a playa campmate. It’s an honored joy to call her friend. Mwah!

I've known Mary for 16 years now. We haven't had much a chance to hang out in the last several of those since I've moved to Las Vegas. This is a tragedy since each time I check in with her she gets cooler and cooler. Even though we aren't the same people who met in Freshman Bio lab, I would like to think the core of the friendship has remained and since we have both improved since then, so has our friendship. I would say more about how great she looks in her pictures on this site, but since I've been more or less adopted by her parents that would be a bit incestuous. Plus I'm married.

My Magpie is beautiful, funny, creative, and has one of the best smiles you will ever see.

That’s what people keep asking me about Burning Man. I kind of pause when they ask me, because while there was fun at some points, I don’t think “fun” is a word that can approach my Burning Man experience. Maybe…intense? Overwhelming? Consumptive? Awesome? (in the more classical sense of the word as opposed to the 80’s version)

The next question is some version of “Okay, so… are you going back?” Absolutely. I’ll be honest, the week passed in a blur. A blur of the beginning of heat wa... read more
Trinity, beloved ferrety girl, is, by best guesstimates, 8 years old this month. Above are pictures of her enjoying her birthday feast of a ferret foamy fry ( I particularly like the bottom left pic of what looks like a satisfied smile).

This morning I pried her outta her hammy to lay on my chest while I petted her and contemplated my day, then I chased her around the apartment, while she bounced around and shook her open mouth at me in fuzzy battle frenzy. It blows my mind that she’s abo... read more

I was just crossing the street toward the river walk, trying to avoid a homeless looking guy coming toward me, when another homeless looking guy intercepted me. At 5 feet away he held out his hand "Here, for you" he said, unsteadily. First I thought it was a rock or something. I hold out my hand and he dumps in some chang... read more
Okay, so I walked into my bathroom last night, and felt spiderweb catch on my chest, then this *plop* on my head. Utterly freaked I frantically swiped at my head and shirt. I look down and there is this *huge* black widow on the floor (body the size of a pea, w/legs a little bigger than a quarter). After I finished swearing rather loudly, but before the majority of the chills subsided, I explained to her that she had broken 2 of the major rules. First - she had been in contact with my person,...
