Elmo's got Mojo...
Another Thursday night open mic at the Sacred Grounds...
My mom's "rock 'n roll" Elmo accompanied me...
(Mom loves to save "plushies" from second-hand stores.)
He sat on the barstool and everybody laughed and sang along with his rendition of "Shake, Rattle 'n Roll"... later on that night, one of my friends gave me a "not-a-valentine" plush, little red frog that sings "You Are My sunshine"...
...so now, "Sunshine" sits with Elmo, on his chair in the living ro...

So... i was reflecting on life, (like we don't do that enough),
and the premature end of it ...the nature of depression &
loneliness and how they relate to particularly creative
individuals like poets and songwriters... this is the result:

In the end, when it truly matters

We ask, "How can anyone be lonely",

After having watched this movie, (on DVD) for the third time... i have decided it is worthy of a "shout out" to all you fellow angels walking and/or in disguise! It takes a few minutes of somewhat mundane, "movie-ish" preparation at the start of the movie, to set up the whole thing... but once it gets to the "five years later" part, well hold on to your aura(s)! Realization at its finest! ;D

Ahhh... Sunday afternoon was spent at the drum circle, mostly just meditating to the drum beat, closing my eyes and feeling the vibrations from the perspective of a tree! i stood still for a half hour and had almost gotten to where i could imagine how the sound waves were affecting my roots when a friend touched my shoulder, to tell me she was leaving, and i nearly jumped out of my skin! i was that deep into being a tree!

Ahhh... a most beautiful, wonderful, amazing friend of mine accused me of having dreams "full of bliss"... Man, that is just too cool! i meditated on this for most of the night... Now, i've gotta tell ya... this most wonderful sister who planted the seed of "bliss dream" thought in my head is full of the light from the ol' crystal power source of Atlantis itself, maybe she is it's avatar, or even a direct connect to the center of a galaxy... i dunno...
but, i do know this: Life is the dream....

Heh, so i had some interesting interaction within my family unit which turned out to be both a learning and a healing experience.
A bit of unconditional love was also brought into play and some very special trust issues were addressed in a positive light... then, i go and write a song about a friend's ol' bulldog... who happened to be white! All this... and, since i have no clue about the Mayan calendar, i had no idea it was a white dog day! Coincidence?!? Hmmm... maybe i'll invest in a Maya...

Sigh... eyes shine with the gentle pre-tears of the upcoming goodbye... heartfelt hugs, held extra long and oh, so tight, as if the brief bit of "now" might last an eternity in the exchange... the eye to eye contact, earthy brown to richest blue, diving right in to the deepest reaches of a dear friend's essence, this is what divine revelation must feel like... a gentle kiss, two, three... holding hands, exchanging an uplifting surge of pure energy as the moment of departure draws ever closer...

Hmmm... So, i'm roller skating, (yes ROLLER skating, QUADS, not blading), in the neighborhood... up & down Haight Street, on the side streets, in the park... AND i notice that more, rather than less, people hear the skates coming, see the skates for what they are and spontaneously smile... kinda like they're remembering a better, simpler time... Geez, there used to be rinks everywhere... and who didn't roll through Golden Gate Park on a Sunday, back in the day? Well... anyway... i get to smil...
