This morning Glenn and I went to Berkeley to handle some finances on San Pablo Avenue. No Hassle is right. We were in and out in a jiffy and then we hopped on a bus that took us to the Ashby BART station. We were startled by a man popping out of the bushes as we walked toward the entrance, it seemed that from the direction he left, he must have not been able to make it to the restroom and settled for the bushes. EWE!!! So we scampered away and into the BART station and began our way to SF. While we were waiting for a train to arrive we watched a pigeon on the floor of the lower deck trying to scavenge for food, but instead he found an old crusty used bandaid. SICK!!! It was gross at first, but then it was funny because that stupid bird kept trying to eat it. Flickit, eat it, flick it, eat it...we were entertained for about 10 minutes or so. It seemed quite accustomed to the traffic from people and the trains since it wasn't very skitish. I thought, "I should kick the bandaid away from it because if it eats it, I'm sure it won't be heathly. BUT then I thought, aren't birds ancestors of the dinosaurs? I'm sure their species have had it worse than eating a bandaid considering how many centuries they have been on this earth and able to evolve and survive.
When our train arrived, we took he SF Daly City train to SF/Civic Center wihout much fuss and arrived in the tenderloin only to wake up our friend Rae. We hung out from 11:30am until about 5:30pm. patiently waiting for supplies to arrive. Glenn took a power nap while Rae and I watched The Devil Wears Prada. Her doggies were with us which was fun, since she had decided to give them heir Easter Baskets. By the way, the are both pitbulls, one male (Playboy Harry) and one female, (Mystique) and they sure do love their momma Rae.. We all played with the dogs for a while and then they both showed their appreciation for their doggy treats, (squeeky toys, and plush toys) by gnawing on them until the squeek was no more. They were destructively cute.
So about 4:00 o'clock or so we left her apartment for home. On the way, Glenn suggested we check out the Archstone Fox Plaza Apartments on Market and Hayes Street since we had been talking about them for a while now and especially since we plan to move soon. We met with the leasing agent, who was the most unmotivated person we came across all day and he offered us coffee and the girl that was also in the office offered us cookies when we entered the leasing office. We weren' in the state of mind to really enjoy a dry stale cookie or biter coffee so we said....NO THANKS! Then we were off to the 17th floor of Fox Plaza Apts to view a studio apartment. It WAS SO SMALL and the rental price 1780.00 per month or so. It had an incredible view though but for the price it was so not worth it. It didn't even have any real character. If the price is right, I will invest into some character for a home that is lacking. So we left Fox Plaza and bought cigs and came home. What a journey to have when a body is only functioning on fumes from the night before. UGH!!
