But is hard to get a permanent resident status here, and the prices are the highest i seen in all of Central America. A few years ago with a 50K investment one could get a permanent residence visa in CR, now i hear is close to 300K ...

I hear there is a reforestation plan in Panama that will allow one to have permanent residence status in 5 years with an investment of 40K in land one gets to own, the catch is one can not sell it right away and has to compromise into planting trees, like t... read more Incredible journey ...
