My Testimonials

January 9, 2004
How can I write about this man, language is too week and frail a medium… Object 88 is the greatest man that I have ever known! He comforts me at 4:30am when he has work the next morning without even a look in his eye of resentment or disinterest. When I am sick or I want affection he holds me He gives me space when I can’t be touched. All the wile in his eyes I can see he would eat my unhappiness if he had a chance. He surprises me with gifts and t he thinks about me when I am not around. He dose the dishes and lets me sleep in, he teases me if I wake up early and make him breakfast, than hides the dishes so I won’t do them. He is loud at home when no one is around, and shy with strangers. He is loyal in a way that I only see In people of the highest ethical character(I’m still confirming hunches on anyone else…) he is brilliant and strange he is menacing and intimidating to strangers and in my life no one has ever made me laugh harder for longer at…. Everything! If you get a chance to know Object88 you know he is the reason people have children, he is what we all aspire to be more like! Also he forgets to take the trash out, or take stuff upstairs, his side of the bedroom is supper messy and he doesn’t make music or play with his cool toys enough. And he is the king of Stinky Pit Land! :P

Lane Bryant
( local favorites » shops ) "Plus sized women's clothes in a comfortable atmosphere" Sometimes, I like to go clothes shopping with my wife. She's a plus, and well, society doesn't like that. Places like Lane Bryant make life a little easier.

The store's fashions change seasonally, so you're likely to find something more on th... read more

Torrid
( local favorites » shops ) "Excellent when on clearance" In these times, one must pinch pennies. And nickels and dimes. And especially $20s. Torried has a lot of great clothing in a variety of "subcultures" (spooky, hippie, hipster, etc.), but when a shirt costs $40-50... ouch!

The thing to do is ... read more

Dark Carnival Bookstore
( local favorites » shops ) "Books, books, books, and a bunch of fun knick-knacks" I don't read nearly as much as I should. I acknowldge that. And when I do read, it's more likely to be something nonfiction and technical. Let's face it, I'm a geek.

That said, I love Dark Carnival. The thingies, doodats, and whatsists are ... read more

Al Lasher's Electronics
( local favorites » shops ) "A geek's dream!" If only they were open Sundays! I've been in only a couple of times, and it's been a joy. Sure, you're not going to get Mouser or Allied Electronics prices, but those are huge mail-order-only outfits. Al Lasher's is a fun place to shop, and the... read more

Amoeba Music
( local favorites » shops ) "Hard time leaving empty handed" Amoeba is painful to me. I can walk around the store for a half an hour, and have $200 worth of goodies in hand. Here's the neat thing-- $200 at a chain shop will get you, what 8 DVDs or 12 CDs, roughly? You'll do much better than that at Amoeb... read more
