I miss my dance friends

Even though it's tough to move this fat ass, I feel like I'm pregnant, I'm so fat, but I do want to move and I miss my dancing friends. I miss the friends I danced with. I miss who I was then, and I won't ever miss who I am now. Being able to move across a whole floor, improv and movement with someone else I miss it, and I'm scared of it at the same time.

I'm looking for a few good folks who want to do site specific dance/theater at the chapel of chimes during the Garden of Memory program around summer solstice. I'd like to become official with the people who put on Garden of Memory but if not the only difference will be that we have to pay to get in. I really want to gather up some people who might want to do a walk through of the chapel of chimes http://www.gardenofmemory.com/maps2003.html to get some ideas and on the day of do some very circular site specific non invasive performance bits in the space while people are going to from music room to music room. I have a bunch of ideas from just 2 people in a random room, with a couple of chairs, re arranging themselves in context to one another to a bunch of people moving very slowly in a large unoccupied (by living people) room that is sort of a thoroughfare in general.... fun!

This is my fish. His name is Pooty Tang, which is a great name but I didn't name him. His previous previous owner named him. But I took over the care of him because he seriously needed some. So now I have a fish. This might not seem like much but I have been learning just how much goes into keeping a fish. And especially starting with one that had severe fin rot and was pretty sick all around. When his behavior changes, I don't know if it's because he's getting better or getting worse. But I love him. That little downturned bulldog mouth, those soulful eyes that are interested in anything I'm doing when I'm nearby, those poor bedraggled stubby fins that I wish would grow back to their original betta beauty. All I can do is try to keep him healthy and happy. And with Bettas "happy" means "angry", so if he wants to start a fight I know he's feeling good. oh yeah and it's holiday time, so happy that. :^)

So I met a god warrior....a warrior god.... in my dream last night. At this prom/christmas thing. It was strange. He was one of seven warrior god brothers and he was going into detail, very gory detail about their latest vanquishing....and I was like SHUT UP AND MAKE OUT WITH ME. And then it was time to go and I asked him what his name was and he said "Maurice," Which didn't sound very godlike or warriorlike so after bugging him about it some more he finally said "well, actually, Maurix" in that sort of Latin/Gaulish Asterix type way. And he told me that I could find him again if I went out to the woods and said his name, and I did but I forgot his name for a while and kept saying someone else's name(seriously it was like Wolf'sbane or something ridiculous) and this awful guy appeared that I was trying to get away from and finally I remembered "Maurix" and he was right there. And everything was good. For a little while. There were some beautiful places we went to, though, caverns in snow and glitteringly colored stalagmites and stalactites and light shafting down and it was all very cold for some reason (I really should get my duvet cover washed so I can have my comforter back on my bed I think) and rather viking/celtic/gaulish overtones to everything..... But his mother(who, honestly in retrospect,as much as "spect" can count in remembering a dream, looked a bit like Xena warrior princess.....) was pissed because I'm mortal and he's immortal and if he stayed with me he would become mortal and his mom was NOT having that, and they couldn't make me immortal.. Also she was really adamant about his not getting me pregnant....then there would be some kind of demigod mess on our hands and it would all just be trouble. The whole thing was a Really Big Deal... Like Opera sized, you know? Star-crossed and all that shit. Anyway I woke up alone. Which is probably for the best because if I woke up with a guy in my bed who just became mortal for me I would have been pretty freaked out. Been looking up "Maurix" and wondering where the hell I got it from. But although it doesn't seem to have any relevance it also isn't uncommon. I still kind of like it, though.

But it was weird because she's been dead a long time. In that dream I also talked to a dead guy through a window reflection about how his daughter was losing her mind....) I think Chillits represents this feeling this aesthetic perfectly...at least for me. But I also think sadness, in it's purest form is a comfortable state for me. now I feel like listening to Astral Weeks but the sun is still too strong, and my room is a playground for hummingbird fights....which is mostly just funny. Sometimes my dreams are more tiring than restful.
