about me
My art is my passion, my way of exploring and understanding the natural world in which we live, and each discovery is more fascinating then the next. My love of nature is my love of life and all its mystical ways. The natural world inspires dreams and creativity, which manifest themselves in my music, dance and art.
Here in Ottawa, and across Canada's East Coast, I teach Tribal Style Bellydance, which is a dance form in its infancy around these parts. It is so exciting to watch our community grow and dancers flourish with new ideas and new movement that represents not only the traditional 'ATS' but is also representant of the dance influences we share in this part of the world. Over the last two years, I have been witness to the birth of many new tribes, new friendships and fresh ideas, and I feel as if I'm in the middle of an awakening - Orientale dance forms similar communities but there is something unique and special about the bond shared by tribal dancers around the world, and I'm proud to be a part of a global community of strong artistic women (and men!)
Blessings to all of those who have taught me, and who continue to teach me, lessons in dance, in life, and in love.
