Finished the torso sculpture I’ve been working on, off and on, for the last couple months. It came out all right. I can’t decide if I like it or not. Duck says it reminds him a bit of Sally from “Nightmare Before Christmas” with all the sewn together parts.

“The Human Pixel Project” – essentially a gentleman is having a bunch of random artists create 10 2inch by 2 inch paintings for him following certain color rules. Eventually, he will take all of these “pixels” and use them in larger works of art. It’s very cool, and I’m terribly eager to see what he does. What a fun project. I’d almost love to do 10 more!

My parents bought me a membership to this sight (www.female-anatomy-for-artist.com/ ) as part of my x-mas stuff. I rather like the models and it’s a fantastic resource that I will get tons of material from. However, I find I’m feeling like I need to get over this intimidation about having people model for me. It just seems that working off of photos I take as opposed to what someone else took would make the work more mine.
