Partner Stretching is a unique physical and spiritual journey that combines a personalize approach to deepening the love of body motion and open-play. Partner Stretching is a set of techniques and routine-based exercises from disciplines such as yoga, contemporary dance, acro-gymnastics, and contact improv to open the heart to trust, body –acceptance, and self-awareness. The physical poses are combined with conscious breathe-work to release tension, promote the free flow of subtle energies (Pranna) to emerge and cleanse, renewing sore, tired muscles, and to spawn a lift of Spirit to open a Body/Mind connection.
This system treats the desire of touch, trust, and intimacy to act as an integral part of our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. In performing the poses and exercises, partners rely on each other’s support and such needed trust to keep correct body alignment, balance, and concentration to thus help each other explore a deepen connection to the physical body at the moment. In a deepen sense, this physical support fosters an intense feeling of nurture and acceptance. When a feeling of being supported arises, the courage and strength to go deeper in the pose arises, this aids in overall improvement in flexibility and range-of-motion that embraces a pathway of a renew sense of physical self – an inner pathway of body enjoyment and empowerment. Onamare is a dedicated lover of movement and the physical body, a movement artist, nutritionist, and educator. She discovered Yoga in the early nineties, along with Mat Pilates, after already training vigorously with weight-bearing exercises since the age of thirteen in health gyms, discovered the added benefits of floor exercises to deepen the connection with how the body can move more freely and feel better. Dance has always been my first love, studying all forms of dance in adolescence and in college, set a lifetime journey of observing, enjoying, and exploring how body alignment affects motion, health and wellbeing, and consciousness. Movement and health have always been my main interests. I just finished nine exhausting years of receiving knowledge on how to eat more nutritiously to prevent disease and help the environment, our food ecology at the same time. I value the art of eating for wellness, eating with joy, the energetic aspect of eating, and the primal connection food plays with nature. I became a license Registered Dietitian to help humanity better learn the benefits of nutrition and prevention of disease. I then proceeded to further my studies by attending grad school with my focus of study (Consciousness, Healing, and Ecology) to deepen my understanding of health and wellbeing. While attending grad school, I discovered far more than I can express, but besides the spiritual transformation, I started taking aerial-conditioning and stretching classes. I learned how to get more flexible, how to improve core strength, am also how my love for contact improv, aerial, authentic movement and open-play are all interrelated. I begin to explore my own approach of contact stretching, along with helpful tips on weigh-loss and fat reduction to help individuals become more empowered over there physical well-being. I advocate Intuitive Eating for overall wellbeing and to improve physical flexibility and strength a helping hand is needed. Partner Stretching is one of the answers.
