I'm duh decider!
Now Casting for Thee 1st Annual Princess Palanquin Processional Party
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 7:35 PMAn event for the princess in us all. A handmade palanquin, luxuriously decorated and fixed with all royal ammenities such as a hooka, grapes, teas and wine goblets.
Beautifully dressed "princesses for the day" will take turns riding in the palanquin where they will have petals thrown before their processional, music of their choice played and served their choice of wine or tea while being fanned and attended to.
Portraits and candid photographs could also be arranged.
The bearers I am imagining would be all male, slightly taller and able to carry some weight. We should get groups of four who are around the same height.
I am seeking an outdoor venue that will allow amplified music as well as this theatrical display of sensual delights. Any recommendations of a green and secluded spot welcome. Was thinking of the Grotto at St Edwards St Park.
Shooting to do this in November sometime. There are definitely some things we will be needing...
8 pole bearers, 2 shifts of 4 so no one gets too tired.
2 wine servers
1 or 2 men to fan the passenger of the palanquin.
Any interested dj or photography talent.
I would supply Indian tribal jewelry for all the men to wear, and we could work out a suitable and modest costume, Or B.Y.O.L.C. bring your own loin cloth. hee hee
I have to work out the financing and permits for the event but I would like to offer compensation for any willing to serve the goddess in this purely for fun, family-friendly event.
Oh, and if you don't "get" what a palanquin is, check out google images...
Blessed be
