about me
i started this profile on tribe to gather information and friends interested in some of the things i am interested in. i am a bbbfd (big beautiful black femme dyke).

i grew up in upstate new york...lived in minneapolis for a several years...then in the washington dc area for a couple of years...then in the san francisco bay area for a few years...now i have found my way home back to the sanity of the east coast and the country life of upstate new york.

i live with my wife in a little cottage we just bought (our first home!). there are 2 cats and 1 dog that allow us to live with them. i enjoy conjuring my own oil magickal oils, incense, brews and potions. my limited spare time is also taken up by making fun and pretty things from fabric. i also love to gather funky trinkets and create collage pieces.

for money i am virtual assistant doing various admin stuff for different companies. I also create websites. if you need a new website or help with your current one let me know. my rates are really responsible and i love to help women business owners, women of color and pagan folks get a presence on the web.

i also sell my wares online and at a few festivals here and there. i am thankful to work for myself from home and to be able to set my own hours (kind of). my dream is to own a physical shop to house my wares.

i have had a full life. i have seen lots of things, experienced lots of people, worked for a rock star, a film director and an actor. i am a witch and have studied goddess spirituality, dianic witchcraft, hoodoo, sea magick and the various religions that honor the orisha. the path that i follow is a mixture of it all...and then some.

i have had ups and downs and twists and turns and find myself at the crossroads much of the time. i find solace in simple things and am happy to be back in the country.

that is all for now. when i figure out more to add here i will...

The weather here has been rainy the past couple of days. I am loving it as this summers heat and humidity has been doing me in.

I love having the doors and windows open listening to the rain and smelling all the wonderful smells.

Halloween. It is on my mind. My favorite time of the year.

We are making plans to have our first fall in our new house. Halloween decoration preparations are underway.

I am so over summer and the heat and humidity. It can end now, thank you. Someone remind me of this when I start complaining about the cold and snow this winter.

I also cut all my hair off. Over the weekend my brother had a cookout. I had my sister get his clippers and get the job done. it feels nice and cool. i don't... read more

I feel the need to post a disclaimer here. The video in my profile from YouTube of the fabulous Hiba is not me. I am not her. She is from Canada an is an excellent dancer. I am from New York and am just learning. I think this clip is great and inspirational so I posted it in my blog.

I have had a couple of people respond to the video as if it were me. Sorry to say I ain't that good...yet!

I am finally walking normal...almost. The recovery from knee surgery has been a little harder and longer than I wanted (I am impatient) but things are progressing. Now that the snow is gone and spring has sprung I am feeling renewed. Getting around outside is much easier and I really don't have much pain except for when I am going up and down stairs. My physical therapist says that stairs will be easier with time.

So, I am looking forward to getting my body into shape and feeling more heal... read more

The winter season here in upstate New York has been mild. Just this past week we had our first real snowfall and it didn't amount to much. Still it was wonderful to see the earth and trees covered in winter. I had the pleasure of being able to go outside and be in the stillness of the snowfall. Looking up at the clear dark sky and seeing the stars...living away from the glare of city lights has

Well, we are finally moved into our new house. The house buying process has been long and the unpacking is just beginning, but things are great and we love our new little house! If someone had told me a few years ago that I would be moving back east and buying a house I would have laughed like crazy. But crazy things happen. I am loving being back in my old neck of the woods. Actually, I am
