no, not the stuff you get at ikea to tie stuff to your car. its the new information service from my company, radar networks. there’s a lot of cool technology behind the scenes (which is what i’ve been working on), and all the content you see in the screenshots on the web is what trish has [...]

UO has officially jumped the shark. what? also, if this is actually true, we’re officially old. because this is proof positive we don’t know shite about [...]

since we have three cats, we have a thing for cat butts. there’s a grocery bag we got in the netherlands that’s a “cat butt bag”. the baggers at the grocery store love it. and now, a horrible tattoo. (more at horrible tattoos)

about me
software developer working at a stealth-mode startup. thats a large part. then there's trish, she's my bride. we're having a great time. i was born in new orleans, lived there for 7 years, moved to glen arm, md (baltimore 'burbs) for 5, then to jacksonville. did high school, then gainesville for 3/4 of a college degree in mathematics, then back to jacksonville in '98 for a job. i have lots of freedom in the workplace, it is good. i design it all and basically run the show behind the scenes. we have four lovely kitties. i'm heavily into music, electronic. some weird idm stuff, but mainly centered upon the cross between breaks/techno/trance at the moment. oliver lieb is god. i consider myself a crypto-anarchist, synergying a lot with cypherpunks beliefs. in real life i mainly tell people i'm a libertarian, similar enough and more easily relatable. thats all for now.

berliner trance - neat (old!) movie

"berliner trance - neat (old!) movie"

This lost classic, shot on 16mm in a wintry Berlin in 1993, explores the origins of the now monumentally massive German Trance and Dance music scene.

With interviews with luminaries such as Dr Motte, Paul van Dyk, Laurent Garnier, Paul Browse, Mijk van Dijk and MFS label supremo Mr Mark Reeder this now legendary exploration into the underworld of what was the most significant force in driving dance music forward in the 20th century. It contains rare early footage of the 1991 and 1993 Love Parade, and of the now bulldozed Mutoid Waste Company land, E-Werk and Tresor - Berlin's legendary (and now closed) clubs that started it all in the former East Berlin.

Directed by Ben Hardyment, this documentary is imbued with an uplifting and extremely positive energy - there are rumours of a film sequel in the pipeline, but for now, sit back and enjoy 25 minutes of pure trance music history.
