Hipgenesis Thanks

Dear Friends,

My involvement in Hipgenesis started two years ago when I pitched in with Wolfie and Witt to do 'Blizzard of Oz.' That event featured a few very memorable moments. The party itself was great but what I always think about is the setup and strike of the event. My little brothers putting up stickers, Brad and Cat hanging snowflakes. A little get together at Todd and Justin's where we made the snowflakes. Discussions with Witt and Wolfie about how we were going to make the event GREAT. It's all a bit blurry now, there's tons of great stuff that I don't remember without something reminding me.

Flash forward two years and how many parties? I think 9 or 10 now. I can think of lots of instances of 'the nod' which is always nice. A few DJ sets that I'm proud of as well. Lots of great dancefloors. Awesome deco, great art. But what has been the most personally rewarding of all of it?

The Teamwork. More than anything else I love working with our team.

Discussing the event at hand and also our long term plans with the core, I love it.

Working along with people who just want a cool party to come together, the best.

So, to everyone who's come early or stayed late: Thank you, your contribution is what makes me feel proud and happy about my work with Hipgenesis.

Zak's gone to Africa in July. (via London)

My much hyped and long overdue trip to Africa is on for July.

I'll be visiting my dad in Lusaka, Zambia. While there I'm going to visit Victoria Falls and likely go on a walking Safari.

Air Travel is booked so the next step is to get my shots. I had a dream about getting shots last night, isn't that fun. As my dad said "You wouldn't believe how many diseases end with the word 'Zambiosa.'"

I'll be spending a day in London each way, for which I'm very excited. :)
