The Ashkenaz website stated that FHG would include long-time FHG backbone Jon Paul on bass and Dan Leali on drums. Keys were listed as (unknown to me) Rob Clearfield. Topaz & the Left-Coast Allstars was an excellent boogaloo gig last Friday. As sax man and bandleader, Topaz was a stronger and better than I’ve ever seen him before. I thought I’d be relying solely on Cheme but I was pleasantly surprised. Will Bernard stuck to the Fender and let Brian Jordan play hollow body all night.
