What you’re doing isn’t what you dreamed of. Those dreams have gotten displaced. Where you are isn’t where you were going. Now your time’s gone to waste. Who you are isn’t who you are being. That person’s being subdued. What’s effects everything in this world now…has cast its shadow on you. And you struggle and sigh cause you don’t like the life that’s been dealt you. Think the world could be better, but you don’t know what it is that you can do. Don’t let the man tell you what is what. Say you’re someone, he’ll try and tell you your not. Trust him to guide you and your life will go nowhere. He wants to keep you close at hand. Makes you his possession and he is the man. Live for his purpose, so shocked he doesn’t play fair. You know you’re making some dreams come true…just not for yourself. Half the time you’ve spent living this life…benefited someone else. What started as a tool in life… has opened into a hell. Running yourself down in an exchange…that just isn’t mutual. Try to take it in stride but just getting thru life makes you so stressed. Don’t take too much to see what you want isn’t really of their interest. Don’t let the man tell you what is what. Say your someone, he’ll try and tell you your not. Trust him to guide you and your life will go nowhere. He wants to keep you close at hand. Makes you his possession and he is the man. Live for his purpose, so shocked he doesn’t play fair. I’ll not be owned by a rich man…nor will I be afraid. Won’t bear that burden my whole damn life…too much a price to be paid. It’s all the difference in life to me…can’t let myself be used. Why spend my life dreaming I had another…with so much I’ve left to do? No! NO! Too much struggle inside…don’t have to wonder why I don’t fit in. God never asked for your religion She just meant to bless your life With some basic rules for guidance Away from hardship and strife Her words have been abused and twisted For the agenda of a few Portrayed as jealous and spiteful To manipulate you God never asked for your religion You are not required to give him praise And if you use the mind he gave you You won't be judged for lack of faith He didn't make you in his image That's a human vanity Born from a human ego To satisfy his needs Tread lightly sons and daughters Lightly woman and man God's wisdom's more than anyone Could ever completely understand Stay humble and remember You'll be held to what you do It's your relationship with your God And not your point of view. Doesn't help to look at life as something you can't change. Doesn't help to reject new things as trivial or strange. Doesn't take a genius to know the world's in troubled days. Doesn't help to pretend that life can still go on this way. You can ignore the problem, but it will not change your fate. You can hope someone will fix it for you and that they don't come too late. Always talking about your job, the one you say you hate. Your time’s given to values to which you can’t relate. You wonder how you let your life get in such a sorry state. But uncertainty seems scarier than a mediocre fate. Been told all your life that your country is the best, Your wrong from right, your way of life is never second guessed. So damn anxious to call yourself better than the rest, You can’t admit that in your name the world’s been made a mess. Must be talkin bout –Fear….and Pride Has got it’s hand on your life. They have a different God, How they like sex seems odd –did you even think it though?
