It irritates me sometimes when he turns a blind eye to the negative aspects of people he knows, and denies their faults. Then I realize that he turns that same blind eye towards me.

R.J. is the standard by which I judge friendship. In ten years, he has never let me down. He has literally given me the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet. When I was homeless, he let me stay with him. When I was hungry, he fed me. When I was heart-sick, he gave me encouragement. He taught me how to push myself, how accept life in its own terms, and how to drive a 5-speed pickup with my knees at 70mph while he climbed out the window. I almost got into a fistfight with his mother (who I absolutely adore, by the way). I could tell stories about him until the end of time. Someday, I will give his eulogy.

Ah... RJ. Good ole RJ. ::grin:: I wonder about him sometimes. Even though his friends try to kill him every year... and he does crazy things in the guise of a good idea... and he would drink anything to save his buddies.... I still love him! He is a wonderful friend! I would do anything for him. ::smooch:: But watch out for your next birthday! Mwuahaha.... ::evil grin::
