Andy Warhol was wrong. People will stay in your business for as long as you genuinely want them out of it.
Self Portrait
I've always kinda wondered what the pictures would look like if I shot my own performance. This might be the closest I'm going to get (until the Toids come through town, anyway). This is Mr. Marcus of Kill the Unicorn. He pays attention. ;-)
There are more eerily familiar pictures of him here:

Shooting Zafira's Vaudeville Carnivale in Pittsburgh was a fantastic experience. They put together a top-notch show, worth driving a few hours to catch. And I always have fun with them. It's a shame that their last show didn't work out as planned. But a wise person once said, "Life is what happens while you are making other plans..."
In other news...
I'm very excited about my guest appearance with Bellyqueen (at a private show) on Dec 15. They are a troupe of well-crafted women by any metric one might choose to measure. It is a gift to be a part of their production.
Additionally, Kaeshi and I will be co-facilitating a drum solo class for dancers starting in January. I'll post more details as they are available.
And I've started hanging out at a photography studio that produces world-class stop-motion photography of dancers. More about that later, too. ;-)
Happy Holidays.

Note: Photos taken in near darkness. The thing that *looks* like a spotlight is a tiny yellow stage light on a small local bar stage.
