A dear friend of mine once described me as an eclectic dreamer; I always liked the sound of that. I believe in living life as fully as possible and learning all that the world and the people in it have to teach me.
By day I'm a teacher and lab rat (proteomicist, to be specific), by night a book worm, artist, magician, fire spinner and juggler. Weekends will often find me building houses (Habitat for Humanity provides amazing, life altering experiences - you should try it!), bartending**. hiking, or training for a triathlon.

When not in lab, I love venturing to readings, shows or concerts and dancing up a storm. On the other hand, sometimes it is nice to stay home, play house, write, tunnel through a great book, bang on my piano, play with my pastels or concoct new and exciting delectable creations for my friends (usually involving chocolate in one way or another).

Admittedly I have too many hobbies for my own good; I'm easily amused. Besides, I love stretching myself, learning about and trying new things. In my defense, I'm not one to pick up something fancifully only to let it fall by the wayside when it gets hard. I'm partially a challenge addict. It's the easy things that go away quickly. For me, there are few feelings as satisfying as discovering, learning, working and mastering something; making a passion or a dream tangible is a high like no other.

Oh! One more thing; I'm a geek and proud of it. I love science, art, semi-colons, high point words and holding 6 distinct conversations concurrently.
