about me
I'm some kind of freak explorer having no real goals and living life based on my internal intuition - getting in fights to defend my right to do so and either winning or losing. I'm relatively smart, relatively attractive, and relatively easy to get along with - except when I'm not. I have two kids who have traveled with me on most of my journeys and are nearly as weird as I.

Moments of Clarity in the Usual Miasma

Much fun happening now - just got back from seeing Laurie Anderson in Albuquerque - god, what an amazing artist and such an open and easy person too - I had a chance to meet her after the show at a gallery reception across the street from the small theater but I just sort of watched others meet her and thought to myself "I don't need to meet her like this" - something is changing in me - and I don't really feel any need to be famous or respected even - just happy to be. But man, see her in pe... read more

Well - if this is to be a documentation of these years of my life - then I've been slacking a bit - this week, an incredible woman died and in mourning her, I've been atuned to my own gratitude more than ever. S

he was my grandmother, and we didn't see eye to eye on much but her quality as a person filled with love was never in question. I imagine her figuring out ways to spread that around to the rest of us left behind. She was what could be described as "very religious" but I don't think... read more

Re: Truck living! (in Non Traditional Housing) This is pretty simple - you either had an address when you set these up and don't need to renew a bank acct. for instance, or you use a friend's address - these places don't require you to show proof of residency every time you do business. Art Project - "Cathedral" (blog entry) Hello Burnery People,

Things people say about me to my face:

June 21, 2007
What can I say about Sondra that hasn't already been said? She's an intelligent, warm, witty, sometimes annoying (but in a good way), sushi loving, Canadian worshipping, respect ful of other people's beliefs (and stuff-I've never seen her throw other people's stuff away), good natured, brilliant artist, possessing a "hot bod" (don't you dare ask me), sensitive, no holds bar- ourspoken, genuine person.

Oh, and she has this habit of poking people with a stick.

When I first met Sondra, I thought she was the hottest woman I'd ever seen. One year later, Sondra thought I was eager. And after another year, I realize she's just crazy and I try not to take it too personally. Maybe next year I'll realize I'm crazy too. Good luck on your expeditions.

I haven't known Sondra very long, but I find her to be a refreshing mix of strength, wisdom, and fun! I count myself fortunate to know her, and any who harbor ill-will towards this woman ought seriously reconsider their motivations for doing so - she deserves nothing but your love and support.

I've a really bad crush on Sondra.

It's, like, an embarressing crush. Overwelming. This crush makes me have to plan my words carefully around her, or I stutter uncontrollably. It's bad.

Fortunately, she's friendly enough, that she makes it easy to talk to her. She never seems to notice when I'm stammering, and I get over it quickly. Her warm and tolerant personality makes her a delight to be around.

I'm in awe of her tendency to seek out, and stand up to bullies. It makes the embaressing crush more difficult to hide, but there you go. I'm tired of hiding crushes, anyway, and the world may as well know all about this. I'm no longe ashamed to have a crush on a pretty girl with a great attitude. And I have Great people like Sondra to thank for that.

Other girls I have bad crushes on are various waitresses throughout Boulder. Aside from ordering food, I tend to stammer when I try to talk to them. It turns my face red. It's hard to be suave and debonair when blushing. ;)

I have known this magnificent woman only a short time and already she has snuggled into my heart and mind. She's magnetic and slightly addictive. (I hear the boys say "Only slighty?!") I'm still soaking up the wonder of meeting yet another strong, independent, extremely intelligent, sexy, gorgeous woman. Already she has become a sister to me and that I will treasure here and into any other world I go to.
Can I be like you when I grow up? Like around 70 or so? Kisses!

Energy courses through her veins and out of her skin in mesmerizing swirls. She is an enchantress and my most perplexing, confounding, yet wondrous muse. She is my favorite agent provocateur and co-conspirator.

If Sondra had to be defined in a single word that word would be passion. Passion for living, passion for sharing, passion for loving, passion for learning, and most importantly passion for just BEING.

I first fell in love with Sondra because of the beautiful spirit that I could see through her eyes but I stayed in love because of the challenge that she always presents. She never stays still and is always on the move--whether physically, mnentally or spiritually. Keeping up with her is no small feat even though I am always willing to try.

As much as Sondra challenges my mind, it was her challenge to get out of my mind that is the lesson that I appreciate the most. While I have stopped predicting where life will lead, I always know that Sondra will be a special and important part of my lattice of consciousness. She is a blessing to my soul.

Sondra is not for the faint of heart. She drinks deeply from life, and to know her, you must live too.

Sondra has solved more of life's puzzles than most people even care to ask. With each new challenge, she is at the frontier of human existence: there are no gurus who can recommend the right path.

Sondra is the best mother. She shows her kids all the facets of life and then takes the time to explain when they get confused.

Sondra is the biggest proponent of pushing boundaries in oneself. Beware that knowing her means you will be encouraged, coerced, and forcibly shoved into situations that make you uncomfortable.

Sondra is extremely honest ... at least about things that are important. She'll tell you how you're beautiful even if you don't want to know it.

Sondra is my best friend ever. She has had the patience to deal with my faults and the courage to prove she cares. She's a beautiful person. It is a unique privilige to know her.

sondra is one of those truly amazing individuals that if you are fortunate enough to meet will only enrich your life...I've learned more about myself, love and interaction with others since I've met her than the rest of my life combined.
she has a clarity of thought that is truly terrifying and warmly embracing at the same time. her patience and love make all around her truly blessed. she will always be in a most sacred place in my heart.

Ignore her spines, your welts will go away but your soul expansion won’t.
