Pat is the most self-sufficent person our age that I know. He once spent two and a half stranded alone in the Alaskan wilderness, and the only supplies he had were a box of toothpicks and a blue plastic lunch tray. If the rescue team they choppered in hadn't forced him to leave, he'd probably still be doing fine up there. He's also a steadfastly loyal friend. One time, this guy was screwing around with my special lady (not my ladyfriend), so Pat just took a pair of scissors, and cut off a bunch of his hair. It was great.
