Paying attention and taking responsibility.

You need to start paying attention now. Let me illustrate why. Remember to do your duty as a citizen, start the research now and be prepared when you vote.

I have voted in all but one local election since I turned 18. I was registered to vote before my 18th birthday. I do what I can.

Jesus Camp is probably in my P.O. Box from Netflix as we speak. Funny you should mention it. You already know how I will vote, of course, being my #1 confidant, but we should totally have a pre-vote discussion party thingy again. That was cool, and useful.

A very political (and left leaning) friend of mine has a site that details various initiatives and candidates for every election. I've found it pretty useful. He presents the information in a clear and concise manner and tells you how he's voting given the information presented.

Yeah, actually I remember your hubby and I both convinced one another to change our minds on a couple issues.

I'd love that.

I'd like to try to start a couple early ones, just so that we all have a head's up on it and are fully informed on all the issues before we vote. I must say there were a few initiatives that I knew well last time, but there were a couple I wasn't so informed on.

Thanks posting those links, Paula. I think I have Jesus Camp in my Netflix queue too.
