i used to be a journalist and freelance writer, now working as a staff writer in the communications office at a major university. i also have a dual affiliation on campus, as an employee and as a student in an evening master's program (with an emphasis on the humanities and classics) ...
i'm really mellow but love to laugh and be out in the city. i'm always trying to eat healthy and i work out a lot, but i have a weakness for burritos, goopy nachos and fries. i love indie and foreign flicks - some popular comedies too. if i could have a dog, he'd be a yellow lab. if i could have a cat, i'd get it from toys r us (more playful and loving) ...

so i was supposed to have read Paradise Lost for my last class, and even after now having heard the lecture, i must admit that i still only get part of it -- the part about being lost. ... and get this: halfway through the lecture on wednesday, i realized that the bookmark i've been using is actually a rental receipt from my weekend up at tahoe, which was spent snowboarding and boozing instead of reading. where was the receipt from? Heavenly Sports.
