Phil is one of those people that has such a complete gentleness that it is overwhelming. Please, just look at those eyes! Everything about him is so accepting and loving -- it gives you so much permission that you get confused about what to do now that you can do ANYTHING and still be loved.
Now that is a lot you might say, and indeed it is, BUT THERE IS MORE. Phil can rock the glitter like no one else. The first time I really met him, he pulls out the baby blue nail polish and the glitter gel wand and starts to just paint his nails at the breakfast table like, right, that is what we do, right? No, we were not at Burning Man. And I get all confused because it IS just after breakfast, but then I come to and am like, of course that is what we do, hand that glitter over. The rest is history still writing itself. And of course there is more, he and his girly are about as beautiful a couple as you can find and would you PLEASE check out that photo of them down below. I just bought my Burning Man 2005 tickets today and of all the people that I hope to see there this man is my number one choice. For two years he has been the center of my experience. He is amazing, wonderful, crazy, delightful, and my only wish is that he didn't live so far away, because he is a true best friend, even if we only get to see each other for one week a year.
Phil, you are my friend.
