culinary meanderings
I have a small team of helpers i call upon for my dinner/concerts and for parties and catering events when they come in. Unfortunately, my favorite assistant, Mami (she is on the top of my friends list) moved back to Japan in January. And another favorite, Benjamin Jarrett (also on the top of my friends list) is away for the summer.

then send all the cabinet and the new american century group to the World Court then an official apology to the rest of the world for the barbarism of the recently impeached government then finding out the truth behind 9-11 (some of the guilty members will already be at the world court, at this poing) yeah, well... wishful thinking....

maitake miso soup carrot-beet-daikon-hijiki salad w/ sesame umeboshi dressing pistachio crusted tempeh (homeade) w/ shitake gravy roasted, pureed, spiced butternut squash dandelion greens w/ walnut miso dressing burdock pickled w/ sake, shoyu, szechuan peppercorn and sesame seeds lemon amazake (homeade) tart with spiced cranberry-port sauce a whole bottle of port goes in the cranberry sauce :) after dinner, Riley Lee will perform a solo concert on shakuhachi!

For those who are wondering, the shakuhachi is a bamboo flute from Japan. I am also a vegetarian chef and have my own personal chef and cateing company. Recently i have become fascinated with fermentation and am making my own miso, amazake, natto, tempeh, mirin, sauerkraut and numerous other fermented delicacies. I anxiously look forward to teaching at the Lark Music Camp one again, this summer!
