about me
I'm far from being done. I've done more in my life than most, and that's both good and bad. Right now I'm living happily with my wife and youngest daughter in a small community in California, and enjoying serial obsessions.
21 years ago my wonderful wife and I were married at the Queen Wilhelmina Garden under the northern windmill in Golden Gate Park.
Some of the people (but not all) that were in attendance :
Anthea (Major, not our daughter, but our daughter's namesake) as Lady of Honor,
Andrew Small as "Escort of the Bride" (we fought bitterly over who got to have him on their side)
William Osser, my Best Man, although I had to fight off Lea on that one, since she got Andrew.
Autumn Adamme, who was, as ...

yep, I've been braodcasting for a month now on our local Public Radio (think KQED) station, Saturday nights from 10 to midnight. The name of the show is Wanderlust, and I wander through every genre, timeframe, and country, even playing things like French Rap and Algerian Heavy Metal.
I'm currently playing the Llama Song, after playing I've Got The World On A String by Louis Armstrong. I did a whole half hour dedicated to worker's rights, and I'll be finishing off with Sufi songs and chan...

So my access to the net is still somewhat compromised, although next week or so should see a difference.
Between Jim's death and that of my cousin, this has been a hard couple of weeks, especially after having a vein stripped. Trust me, the surgery was awful. But my leg is so much better now, it feels lighter than the other leg.
So my main access now is when I borrow bandwidth from Kinene, or when I'm at my volunteer position, like tonight. Every Saturday night, from 10 PM until Midn...

I'm still alive. We're still trying to find a different ISP, but in this backwater the only high-speed is cable.
That said, I'm sorry If I've failed to respond, the best email is at philipsarts at gmail dot com.
And let me tell you, if you ever face a high ligation saphenous vein stripping, they may tell you at the beginning that your recovery will be 3 weeks, then they say, "oops, did we say 'weeks"? We meant months." I'm off work with no sick leave for 6 more weeks, as of yeste...

What can I say on the passing of this wonderful man? For those of you who knew him, words are meaningless compared to the sheer radiance of his spirit. For those of you who didn't, all I can say is that Bill was a better man in his short life than I will ever have been.
We, my family and I, were fortunate to have a great many good times with him. I took him on his first year in faire as my attendant, and he was immediately swiped from me by my wife. At faire he made our lives fun, out ...

Philip is my pisces twin. He is a myriad of beautiful contradictions. He is one of the kindest people I know and one of my most beloved. I'm ever thankful that I am able to call him a dear friend.
December 31, 2006
Thank you for the kind words Phillip - I would love to return the compliment:
Phillip is complex, creative and most importantly - kind. He is a genuinely heart driven person. And I'm most impressed with his latest creative endeavors - it's alway nice to meet up with old friends to find they have evolved in wonderful ways.
Bless Phillip and all he touches!
