about me
hello to all you happy freaky sorts out there...
I love just about all artistic modes and look to explore them more -- painting, drawing, writing, comics, zines, poetry, photography, music, singing, dance, film, drama, etc... oh... and i wanna get more into sculpture, found objects, metal work, and that sort of jazz too... I like to hike, camp, bike, canoe, read, climb trees, play Ultimate Frisbee, chat about anything and everything, cook, take naps, dream, fly kites, blow bubbles, climb trees, play chess, hacky sack, etc... I am working on writing and illustrating a few children's books, would like to publish my own comic, and make a number of short films. I am a vegetarian, a bit of an odd fellow, and ecclectic in my tastes in music and spirituality. And i also am a silly yahoo. check out www.philipstephen.com

I will have a raffle for a number of art pieces as well as some platters and wine for those of you who are able to come and join me on Opening Night, Thursday, July 3rd, from 5 - 8pm. The kitchen will be open if you would like to order some dinner and hang out and chat while you are there. Be well, Phil.
I have just joined an art studio at 1000 Parker Street and will be part of the Eastside Culture Crawl for the first time this summer. My studio mates include Phoebe Greyson, David Tycho, Monica Sanft, and Isaac John Lewis.

Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world took part in a Global Free Hugs Day on Sept. 10th. Many Vancouverites took to the streets with signs reading “Free Hugs” to spread the message of human affection and connection. This is all in response to a global call that originated on facebook.com from a high school student in Connecticut. Who knew that facebook could have soul?

I am with a group of 3 others that are looking for one more artist to share affordable studio space to create wondrous artistic creations. We also intend to be a supportive community that helps each other to realize our artistic dreams.
