Hi all...I am releasing an Instructional DVD in the spring of 2008 - Isis Wings with Phoenix. We are in the process of filming and editing now. This has been an idea in the works and requested by a number of people who have seen my winged performances and/or taken my wing workshops....so I am excited to actually put it on DVD. If you are interested in a copy or details - please contact me.
Belly Dance touched my life in 1997. A North Carolina native, I now live and perform in the Denver area. My style is a mixture - mostly Egyptian, Turkish, and Tribal Fusion. While I love traditional belly dancing, I really enjoy experimenting and taking the dance down different avenues. I teach - my teaching style includes technique, strength building, and fun! This dance is for all - all ages, walks of life, and body types....I see no limits and enjoying seeing dancers grow in their abilities, technique, and confidence (most important). I am a member of the band - Yallah!. As a member of Yallah!, we host haflas on a regular basis. The idea behind the haflas is a non-competitive and supportive environment for dancers and drummers to come together. I am a member of The Sultry Emberz (www.sultryemberz.com) - with four of my closest friends and sisters in dance. I hope to never stop learning and creating. ** www.phoenix-dancing.com **

Hi all...so the DVD is finally done. This was a lot of hard work and learning experience but I am very excited. The DVD is packed full of info - I will be offering some workshops later in the summer that will compliment the info in the DVD.

So - we finished filming the DVD (Isis Wings with Phoenix) Monday. Our next step is the final editing....and then sending off the master. I am very excited. It has been a long journey...and a lot of learning. Joynan helped review some of the cuts and feels it is packed with info for Isis Wings.....so I will tell you all when it is ready for ordering.....should be spring at the latest!

Phoenix is a class act all the way! She is not only and amazing dancer and a beautiful woman, she puts together some really fabulous events that will bring out the dancer in anyone. The D Note hafla was such a good time! I enjoyed all the dancers and the music was HOT! Definitely can't wait until the next time..............Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us!
