Museum of Contemporary Art at the Geffen ( local favorites » other ) "great place for contemporary art" Go see rotating shows and then get some sushi in Little Tokyo. Thursdays are free at all 3 Moca venues.

Frog's Gym ( local favorites » parks & recreation ) "Gym at CSULB" Good location. Pretty basic facilities, no pool, sauna or hottub, but it is on Campus in the Pyramid. Good prices, esp. for long beach state students.

Baiplu Thai Restaurant ( local favorites » restaurants ) "Try the Mint Beef." Great little thai food place beside Big Lots (also stop in there for cheap stuff). Good sized portions and yummy food.

Pyramid Cafe ( local favorites » restaurants ) "Good mediterranean close to campus" Flafels, Swarma, Baba Ganoush (ok so I can't spell any of it). Good prices, fast good food. Right on the corner by parking lot 11.
