I'm still blogging. Today I made my 112th post for the year. I'm pretty proud! There's some good information on that blog, though it'll need a name change soon. Right now it's called the Roving Lion TraveLog but that won't apply once I'm living at the farm with the intent to stay. Ah! Commitment! I'm not sure what the new title should be. You could suggest something! Anyway. I'm writing a note because I love you and want you to leave me love notes and maybe stay in touch. If you're into receiving letters (you know, the snail mail kind), I can do those instead. Mostly I just want to keep in touch with people, let the world know what I'm up to, and hear what you think about how I'm livin' - I think it's pretty groovy but I don't like to be narrow minded, so the more opinions and comments I can get, the better. So visit my blog. not money. like 'currently, i'm...' current-ness isn't as cool. so i'm trashing currency's normal meaning. this past june i interned at acorn, an organic farm and community in mineral, va. i had a great time. i'm taking off from college for a year to really try it out before i waste money choosing a major that i may not enjoy. i hope to spend most of my time at acorn, but i'm also looking to travel elsewhere - namely, australia, south africa, hungary, greece, ireland, and wherever else you think i should go. i'll be trying to lump a few places together at once so i'm not doing too many flights, then i'll be hopping from farm to farm working for my keep and exploring. thoughts? suggestions? tips? want to come? let me know. i'm also still doing henna whenever, and i may actually be More available to do gigs since i won't be tied down by school. contact me if you'd like to book a date.

I'm Looking for Rugs!

So everyone should know by now that I'm hosting/creating a gypsy encampment at the VA Ren Faire this spring. It'll be there for four weekends and will occupy a 20x20ft space. My college freshman self does NOT have enough gypsy decor for this sort of thing, so I'm looking for help. Does anyone in the Richmond area have oriental/gypsy looking rugs that they'd be willing to lend me for the duration of the faire??? (I'm not there the first week, so May 27-June 18) Any size rug is welcome, but I especially need ONE more Big rug (preferably 7x9 or bigger) to fill out the space. More are appreciated if you have them to offer, as I'd like to go for the layered, ethnic look with lots of ground cover. Also needed are small stools or chairs that are Portable and Light and look close enough to medieval that I won't have to make fabric covers for them (wooden stools, folding wooden chairs, &c.). All suggestions and help are welcome! Please let me know if you can help in any way. I WILL come to you to pick this stuff up, and will of course return it promptly after the faire. THANK YOU!!! (side note: the picture isn't mine. it's of a nomad's tent from turkey. but i thought it'd get the idea across of Just how many rugs i need to make this camp fantastic =P)
