Live to Love

Love is all around

There are so many people in my life who are facing big challenges head on. They are learning and growing through the difficult process of looking inward with honesty and a healthy perspective. It seems that every day I have a conversation or read a blog where one of my friends has had a major breakthrough in their lives. Either that or they have had a recent experience that is so wonderful that they feel compelled to share it with others. These stories are beautiful and inspiring.

It makes me wonder if there is something bigger going on now than at any time I can remember. Are we collectively starting to realize as a community or on an individual scale that we are responsible for our own happiness? Are we finally learning to love ourselves in order to love the rest of the world? What is driving so many of us to be working so hard on getting to the next levels in our lives?

Not that it matters really. As the old commercial said "why ask why?". I am so happy for all my friends and their successes and moments of joy that they are experiencing. I wish this same happiness and joy to everyone.

I too am in love. I have found a way to open my heart to myself and let go of the guilt and shame of my past. I have a long way to go but I can see a ray of light shining through the cracks in the shield that surrounds my ego. I hope to break the shield completely and for all time but I know this is a tall order.

Luckily I have found support at every turn. I have a wonderful, strong, and supportive life partner, a very wise and compassionate girlfriend, and a counselor who can zero in on those little cracks like a laser beam. I also have a very large community of good friends who listen and reach out to me with compassion and understanding.

Love. It doesn't get any better than this.

It sure does seem to be in the environment lately (big changes, self-discovery, and reflection). So it is wonderful to hear you are experiencing the same changes. It's only when you truly understand who YOU are.......that you can be happy. And everyone around you will begin to cling to you and feed off of that positivity. Tribe is such a great place for support as well as friendship, even though we may never see each other in everday life.......i'm here for ya. Have a great day!!!

Love quotes-

Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.

I thought about this some more
"why ask why" ?

Why NOT ask why? That's what got us here in the first place, right? I say keep asking questions, keep figuring things out and learning, especially if you are feeling curious about something specific!

If you've got room for my opinion on "What is driving so many of us to be working so hard on getting to the next levels in our lives?" as well, let's talk soon. I believe I've got an unwritten e-mail to you in queue as it is.

Yes, I feel this "something" in the air nowadays too. It's like there are so many trials and tribulations that folks are facing and so much bad news.... but yet I see so many of us coming together to support one another, or I witness the random act of kindness towards a stranger. It's like one person saying to another, I know you are struggling through this life just like the rest of us, and someone does care. Yes, times seem tougher but except for the occasional ugly hit, so many are uplifting one another. At least in the relatively small circle that is my immediate world. It's heartwarming.

Yay!

I love this community and our little family of friends.

Thank you for the quotes. Thank you for the thoughts. I look forward to your email, Belen.

Why ask why? Because sometimes I just need to accept things as they are without thinking about it. If we are collectively working at becoming better persons or living up to our potential or whatever you want to call it then that is what I call a gift. Sometimes it is better not to question gifts too much. Gifts are good.

I'm so happy I could puke rainbows. Seriously.

I'll hold your hair back while the rainbows hurl out!!!

Your world is you, and you are it, and together you are changing. Rock on bro!
