I found a vet in the area and he will be our vet from now on. He was caring and compassionate. He was examining her and he started crying and just apologizing. She wasn't feeling anything in her legs, back, no tail movement. She was paralyzed and she was unable to go to the bathroom. She had somehow blown a disc in her back. We had no choice but to euthanize her. The vet and his nurse were crying with the family as they said their goodbyes. (I was unable to be there because I had half an hour left of work). He gave her the first shot and made sure she was good and asleep before administering the second shot. It didn't hit Playa Son until about 5 hours later what had happened and he is completely heartbroken. She was his partner in crime. She slept with him. She was his confidant. She went everywhere he went.
