Insane. I hope the officer is fired. This seems way over the line.

So some of you have already seen this post circulating in some friends' blogs. Yesterday I took the stance that maybe Tribe.net should just die, seeing as how keeping it alive just seemed like prolonging the inevitable.

But this morning I played around with some numbers and realized that, not only would subscriptions make it possible to keep Tribe.net going--but if it was done carefully--it could vastly improve and keep evolving over time. By taking judicious advantage of certain useful f... read more
Just a fabulous dinner. We started with a Consomme and an Elk Carpaccio, both specials for the day and then went on to Fish & Chips and the Rack of lamb. The Fish & Chips were seared Ahi Tuna with a cocunut ginger crust and a wasabi cream and the Lamb was glazed in yogurt and curry with a pepper port sauce. The service was impeccable and the location was very cozy. Take a chance, I did and we were very happy with the outcome.

about me
I guess you would say I am on a personal quest to "WAKE UP, PAY ATTENTION". It brings you back to the immediacy of life. I definitely take time to experience life’s big and little joys. Also, makes you a bit more of a hedonist, because why not.
Suffice to say, I smile a lot, do a bunch of volunteer work because everyone should, make time to hang out with friends, cook a good meal to share with others and enjoy a glass of wine as often as possible. My challenge to myself is to have fun, keep learning and keep experiencing. To that end, my personal quest is to fulfill the following quote; "A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." - Robert Heinlein It has been a very fun journey so far. Beyond being able to write a computer program I teach wine education and work at a winery, teach cooking and help out at a cooking school and with a few caterers, work with those suffering from cancer, and my newest project is learning to blow glass and ballroom dancing. It is very cool. Wish me luck with my quest! If you are looking for something new, I recommend Burning Man in the last week of August in Nevada. All walks of life, fun, crazy and challenging all at once. Go for it and look me up when you get there.
