I have asperger. What's that? Check out my links. It can make me a little weird. I know we are all weird and that is what is so great. Anyway I tend to not automatically know, implement, or read some social things(1), I have learned to adapt, but sometimes I forget. Sometimes that makes be more shy than the next guy, sometimes I fight it and am more forward. Sometimes you would not even know.

In college I had some friends that loved it that I just sat down at lunch and introduced myself (that was tough). Normally if someone does that its like hey who are you...why are you here. Sometimes I'll say hi, but not know what to do next. It can just be awkward, but I really would like to know you. Or I recognize you from somewhere. I typically gravitate to people I have seen before even if we have not met.

Feel free to include me even when we are not fully clicking. I often just don't know how to click as the instigator. I tend to have few "good" friends, but many general friends or acquaintances as some put it. To me they are all valuable. Why less personal? I can put forth some possible reasons: I am a little weird, I don't communicate well, I learned it as a defense mechanism, I don't really want it (but I think I do—conflict with definition of aspie?), I have too many interests*(2). Many aspies are loaners. I try to be around others but am often still by myself no matter how much I want to participate.

It seems like I have ADD/ADHD, but the way I put it with asperger its ADD on steroids. My senses work overtime. I feel, hear, smell, see everything, but with asperger I often assimilate most of it. Sometimes I get overload. I look around a lot, I am sensitive to: long clothing, some socks, touches, and jewelry. I tend to like firmer touches, but sometimes it depends on the situation. I think this is why I have so many interests*(2). I just take everything in and am used to learning.

I am a bit more technical and/or geeky. I know details. I have rituals or things I have to do. I am often spontaneous, but it has to be done a certain way. The less freedom I have the more ritualistic I get. If you pay attention to me I'll go with the flow, but I must squeeze in my own thing, reset myself or something else every so often....Kind of a mind clearing. I can get obsessed with a project sometimes.

Aspies can be clunky or less coordinated. Like with all things aspie, we can adapt, learn and become skilled, but unless we are focused we can revert. Many aspies are good at video games. I have avoided that as I grew older I never upgraded past the original Nintendo.

In general I am a good guy, helpful if asked, don't ask for help much. I know lots of stuff. Some things I am awesome at, and others I just know how to do it. I am a good and loyal friend. Normally I am a turn the other cheek, kinda guy.

(1)Sometime I'll say or do something and it'll be like where did that come from, or it in some way won't fit in at that time. Or personal space I'll be in it sometimes or not realize right away that you are having a private conversation...but then I avoid someone sometimes because I am not sure its ok. Oh well you get both some weird stuff and then you get some cool weird stuff.

P.S. (2)Other than wanting to be around others, the one thing that is a little different than what is defined asperger is limited interests. Why? Perhaps I have adapted, or have a need. Perhaps a ritual to fulfill. You can see my interests and tribes above. I am thinking I developed it as my way to feel normal but now its a need or love that I have learned over the years. Which in itself is kinda aspie.

Hi, I am me. That is about all I can say. I have been in Kansas City, and am currently in New Orleans. I have finally found a reasonable place uptown near Tulane. I do massage therapy. I like to live life fully. Play in the park, dance the night away, soak in a bubble bath and cuddle. I live day by day. I have been performing in a Troupe at events in the Midwest over the past 2 years, and will see what I can do here. I have faith, my beliefs may be unique, but its what I believe. I grew up Catholic, and that is a core. Think "What Dreams May Come"... Your heaven may be my hell.

I am strictly professional in my massage. Do not ask me for more. Massage is my livelihood, and I respect the boundaries, do not ask me to bend or I will get upset. Don't get me wrong, some of my best clients are ones that wanted more, and now come for what they consider the best massage on earth.
