about me
At the time you read this, chances are I'm
contemplating a kitschy lifestyle of making CD
compilations, eating at hip L.A. holes in the wall, being outraged with the state of the world, and severe ennui. To learn more and possibly upset your stomach, peruse DeadLounge.com and please include your

Lies About Me

April 6, 2004
David has been my friend for well over half my existence so far on this planet, and anyone would be hard-pressed to find a better one. Not only is he talented as hell, but he's smarter than you. No, really... he's smarter than you.

But he's not an ass about it. He's also one of the kindest and wisest people I know and he's someone that I go to when I need sage advice. And no, I wasn't talkin' about pot. :)

Lies I've Told

Mason Jar Cafe
( local favorites » restaurants ) "The Mason Jar - a-typical california cafe" This place is fairly new, and should have worked out its new-eatery kinks out by now, but so far I've enjoyed every visit. The decor is light and airy and perfect for the surrounding Santa Monica Blvd./West Hollywood locale. They specialize in gou... read more

The Gumbo Pot (at Farmer's Market)
( local favorites » restaurants ) "Great Gumbo, Po'Boys and other Cajun/Creole" The Gumbo Pot is but one of the famous eateries contained within the Farmer's Market at Fairfax & 3rd, but it stands out as one of my favorite spots to pick up a reminder of New Orleans fare. I'm hooked on their blackened red snapper po'boy, the r... read more

Michelangelo Pizzeria
( local favorites » restaurants ) "Tasty Italian Elegance in Silver Lake" Michelangelo is one of those tiny treasures in L.A. Owned by an Italian family (which always is a good idea), they serve very good food in an elegant atmosphere, lifted by the friendliness of the boisterous owners. Do try their caprese, because th... read more

Eat Well
( local favorites » restaurants ) "Simple Name, Satisfying Food" There are three Eat Wells I know of: this one on Sunset, one on Brand in Glendale, and one on Santa Monica in West Hollywood. All are unique, all are good. It's a hip place but not overly so, because they concentrate on bringing you good healthy s... read more

Cafe Tropical
( local favorites » restaurants ) "The Place for a Cuban-style Sandwich" Cafe Tropical is easily seen on Sunset Blvd.; the building is deep purple. Inside the decor is more like a battered bistro somewhere beneath the United States, replete with photos of Che Guevara and newspapers in Spanish. Behind the counter, they ... read more
