I am compassionate and ruthless, thoughtful and impulsive, optimistic and cynical, spiritual and materialistic, independent and childish. Emerson said "foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds.". The more you have experienced life, the more you realize how true that is. The universe itself is full of contradictions, and we can either choose to open our eyes and embrace the wonder of it all, or we can close our eyes to everything that doesn't fit our preconception of "what should be" and remain in our little shell. I choose to open my eyes and live.
