Polly's music is a challenge for me, a challenge I can only face one song at a time... for me it's like unravelling a poem with words that resonate while simultaneously disturb ... a puzzle that is frustrating and yet necessary.

Polly is an amazing, wonderful person. She is incredibly kind and thoughtful. She is very intelligent and sharp in conversation. She is deeply passionate and among other ways, expresses this in her music. Her intense eyes warmed my soul and the twinkle of joy there sparked my own.
Listen to her music, but not just once. There is so much depth there to take in you'll notice more if you hear it again.
It is a gift to spend time with her.

Everyone fell and skinned their knees on the gravel
playgrounds of childhood. We'd all decry gravity's
rude introduction into our life and the stinging medicine
of the big people who had forgotten just how close and
hard the ground could be. Polly is the one who stood
up and looked down at her knees, then around the world
wondering who would let gravity play so meanly with children.
As you get to know her, there is a feeling that perhaps
the culpable one did see this determined young force of
nature with the scraped knees and flashing eyes and gave
her the explanation she so stubbornly demanded.

Polly is an amazingly talented artist: multifaceted as an instrumentalist, writer, lyricist and singer.
She's also one of the nicest people I"ve met and her support of my wife's and my musical careers has meant a great deal to me.
She's one of the good ones and she's a kick as flautist to boot.
