Just dropped off my greyhound Jessie for amputation of her left hind leg this afternoon. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma Oct 1 and I cut short a planned long trip I was leaving on the next day. I've made the rounds of about 5 vets, consulting about treatment, finding specialist treatment was too expensive, for a while just planning on just palliative treatment, then trying to get her into a special program at UC Davis, who eventually referred me back to my original local vet.
