Pool or Pond is a nomadic online label and distro currently based out of Oakland, CA. Conceived during the late 90's Bellingham, WA heyday we started with hand made runs of cdrs that made us feel like a big fish in a small pond. After several years in Chicago learning the ropes of 'the biz,' we continue to take our time and help our friends with small, quality releases. In the spirit of Conrad Uno, we're staying small and having fun. A wide mix of artists have filtered through, some even linger, in Pool or Pond's online world and we're proud of 'em all. Here's the short list; Robert Blake, Lucas Hicks, Dave McGraw, Mike Davis & Mike Beevers, Wantage USA, M.A.S.A., OnPurpose, Megabrats, and The Home Recording Project.

We've just completed our first Pool or Pond Podcast and are hoping that you' will help us test it out before we post the live link. Dave McGraw will be picking up the masters of his debut album, Northwest Southwest tomorrow and the duplication of cdrs and covers will begin almost immediately. The first run will be of 150 cdrs burned at the house, with silkscreened, stamped, and stickered covers. We're pretty excited for the project to be reaching it's completion, so we can share it with everyone.

The Tanglers performed two sets at Ashkenaz (Berkeley) on Tuesday and everybody had a great time. Lucas started the evening with Colorado two-step dance lessons, which got everyone moving during the show. The evening ended with a crash course in square dancing and several rounds of calling. This was The Tanglers last show with the full line up for awhile, as members head off on different adventures.
