<div>1. Grab the nearest book

2. Open the book to page 28

3. Find the 3rd sentence

4. Post the text of the next three sentences in your blog (and as a comment on mine) along with these instructions. Do not look for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST book.

And if you're starting from scratch, you'll either learn the tricks of expediting and economizing (which we'll cover later), or be content with relatively slow initial growth.
I am saying, though, that in the majority of cases, the fastest, most efficient way of getting into business is to buy a going concern. In California, you can complete a purchase by an escrowed bulk sale in as little as ten days.

    </a>
<div>Well, I would like to start off by giving a shout out of thanks, in no particular order:

Thanks to the weather for staying SO beautiful, even if it WAS too warm for my fuzzy costumes.
Thanks to Angie, Chris, and the whole octOHburn event organizers, planners, and staff.
Thanks to Graham for being another mass smile and giggler.
Thanks to Pokes, Will, David, Eric, and all the fire crew for SUCH a great fire (extra thanks to Pokes and Will for the effigy).
Thanks to the effigy crew and everyone who put some time into helping to make it BEA-U-TI-FULL!
Thanks to the Pink Flamingo Wine Bar! YAY! for more Indiana burners who rock my socks off! Their home brew is superb!
Thanks to Rebecca and Sierra for hooping with me, feeding me (yeah, I self-responsibility and all that.....I couldn't let her have an abundance of food left over...I was just doing my part *big grin*), for the great pictures, and all the connecting.
Thanks to Tim Black for the hypnotron.....everyone seemed to be impressed....lovely.
Thanks to the Hannon's. They simply RAWK!
Thanks to Kristal Light and Sweet T for yet another GREAT Pornyata Camp. You lovely ladies need some time off....and more lovin's than I can express. You two are ALWAYS a delight!
Thanks to Captain, My Captain for the connection, for the snuggles, and for the love.
Thanks to the Clean up crew for the great job of starting so early on the clean up and disposal of the Jack-o-lanterns.
Thanks to the fire performers for a beautiful light up.
Thanks to Yasha for the warm heart, ever present smile, and open, generous nature. You are such a beautiful, effervescent soul.
Thanks to everyone who came out, helped make this a beautiful, magical, event.

Okay, so there it is. My thanks. I got EVERYTHING that I wanted out of this weekend. I got to work (my body will make sure I remember HOW much work/moving I did). I got to connect with people (connecting in a variety of ways....I have a BFF that I wouldn't have had otherwise...I got to geek out over hoops, I met some new Indiana burners, I got plenty of mad make-outs, hugs hugs hugs and MORE hugs....I'm a hug-slut, I got snuggle/cuddle time w/o the overt sexual tension, which I VERY much needed, I got to share my art with people through henna, I got to share love galore, and I laughed, smiled, giggled almost non-stop the whole weekend.) I was busy just about the whole time. Maybe about 4 hours worth of rest...tops.....maybe...and that's rest...not sleep....heeheehee. So much energy. It's not the type of energy that you get from a summer event, it was more intimate, more down tempo, more connecting......less party, less non-stop loud, bump, and yahoo. This event was EVERYTHING that I needed, wanted, and could have hoped for. THANK YOU! This was just what I needed on this journey of mine. I love life, and this was just another little boost to hold in my heart and mind in the winter to help stave off those winter blues.

There's so much I want to share, yet, words do nothing to convey exactly what it is....smiles, giggles, and heart-felt love is the closest that I can get.</div>

    </a>
<div>So, the wonderful, beautiful, witty, and intelligent Spark (http://people.tribe.net/riotgrrl) posted three different blogs of Erich Fried's poetry. I loved it so much that I asked if I could steal it and repost it. YES! I'm definitely loving his stuff. I don't remember having heard of him before Spark's posts, but am VERY happy to have been edu-ma-cated/schooled/learned. ;) The following poems rock my socks off:

Theft of Freedom

Those who take
the liberty
to say
what does not belong here

Are also taking
the liberty
to say what belongs here
and what does not

And take from me
the freedom
to say the things
that belong here.

*****************************

Violence

Violence does not start
with one person strangling another,
It begins when one person says:
"I love you:
You belong to me!"

Violence does not start
with the euthanasia of the sick,
It begins when one person says:
"You are sick:
You must do as I say!"

Violence starts
when parents oppress obediant children,
and when popes, teachers and parents
all demand self-restraint.

Violence reigns
when the government dictates:
"In order to fight violence,
there is to be no violence except OURS.

Violence reigns
everywhere a person or object
is too high or too holy
to be criticized.

Or where criticism is reduced
to empty words
And the high and mighty
may employ more than just words.

Violence reigns where people say:
"you may use violence"
but also where people say:
"you may not use violence."

Violence reigns
when political opponents are locked up
under allegations
of inciting violence.

The Law of Violence states:
"What we do is right,
What others do
is violence."

Perhaps violence can never
be overcome with violence
But it probably won't
be overcome without it either.

**************************************

Where Do We Learn:

Where do we learn?
And where do we learn learning?
And where do we forget
to live not only what we learn?

Where do we learn to be smart enough
to avoid the questions
that put our love in jeopardy?
And where
do we learn to be honest enough
despite our love
and for the sake of our love
not to avoid these questions?</div>

51 Ways to Expand Your Comfort Zone September 26, 2007

Most of us love the familiar. Whether we realize it or not, we put a lot of work into ensuring that certain things in our lives remain constant. This personal “comfort zone” is the invisible, but very real area that defines the boundaries of what we know and understand. By staying within this comfort zone we reassure ourselves that we are safe. And as long as we are safely held within the walls of what we know we feel secure and confident.

As we move closer to the edges of that zone we begin to feel a bit shaky and unsure of ourselves. But those edges are where we grow. And by stretching those boundaries we increase our ability to receive.

T. Harv Ecker, the author of The Secrets of The Millionaire Mind has said that our comfort zone equals our money zone. In order to have more money in our lives we must expand our comfort zone.

I would add that our comfort zone equals our joy zone, our love zone, our fulfillment zone, our spiritual connection zone, you name it.

So if you want more of anything in your life, the place to start is with your comfort zone. By expanding your comfort zone you will get more of what you want. It’s that simple.

Now it sounds easy enough, but most of us have built up some pretty sturdy walls around our comfort zone. Pushing them out or breaking them down requires conscious, concerted effort. And I have found that it’s easier to expand the comfort zone in small, steady, steps than in great big leaps. But in order to do that, you need to intentionally take expansive action on a daily basis.

So to get you started, I’ve created a list of 50 actions that might expand your comfort zone.

Keep in mind that the parameters of everyone’s comfort zone are different. So if you already love to Scuba dive, number 30 on this list isn’t going to expand your comfort zone very much! But there are most likely other items on this list that will work for you.

Also realize that many of these can, and may need to be, turned around to work for you. For example, number 6 is “Be the first to say, “I love you.” But if you’re the one that always says I love you first, you’ll need to turn it around to “Let the other person say ‘I love you’ first.” For some of you that’s going to be quite uncomfortable, especially when the other person doesn’t say “I love you!”

This is not meant to be an all-inclusive list. It can’t be. Instead, it’s a catalyst and a reminder for you to take small steps each and every day that expand your comfort zone.

Here’s the list:

1. Try some new food.
2. Go on a silent retreat.
3. Ask for a raise.
4. Smile at strangers.
5. Say hello to people in the grocery store.
6. Be the first to say “I love you.”
7. Perform at an open mike night.
8. Eat at a local restaurant by yourself.
9. Take a day off from work to volunteer at your child’s school.
10. Go back to school.
11. Start a new business.
12. Moonlight as a waitperson.
13. Unplug the TV for a week.
14. Write in a journal every day.
15. Learn to surf.

    </a>
<div>As I sit here typing this, looking out the massive wall of windows that looks out to the surrounding woods, my attention is distracted by slowly floating leaves of gold, amber, chartreuse. Solo flight. A pair dancing. Slowly, sparsely floating down, spinning, pirouetting in the sunlight. An ever hungry hummingbird lapping at the recently put out feeder. The sunlight filtering through the tree tops, the leaves, changing at a snails pace, way up at the top, rustling in the wind, casts it's shadows in an interesting play of movement and color. It gives the look of newness, or the ready need for change.

I'm in love with this time of year, the colors of the leaves, the dancing in the air, the sunsets, and the crispness in the air.

<div>My friend Audi is over in Iraq. Nothing new. He's been there about a year now. I've been writing to him all that time. Sometimes my letters didn't make it to him the first time around, but I would resend them again, unopened, having forgotten what they said, just that they weren't mine anymore, but his. It's been nice using pen and paper to write to someone you know, love, and miss. It also afforded me the opportunity to draw a little more, and try out a few other creative ideas swirling in my head. But that's the selfish side of it....mainly I just wanted to make sure he knew he was missed and thought of.

Over a month ago he was home on leave for about a week or two. We got to spend some time together...it was nice, especially knowing that he was going back, but it was only supposed to be until sometime in Sept. Well, in just a couple of weeks September will be upon us, and (hopefully) he'll be home. I've already written him a couple of letters, but no response yet. The more time passes, the more worried I become. More than likely he's fine and will be back, all in one piece, in about two to three weeks (I'll be gone), and I'll have twisted myself into knots with worry for nothing other than a wild imagining. However, I'm still waiting for contact, for reassurance.....for him to be back home. </div>

<div>"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." The above speech by Nelson Mandela was orignally written by Marianne Williamson who is the author of other similar material."</div>

    </a>
<div>This past weekend in Ohio the wonderful Tim Black opened up his land for the Puck Fair. Such a good time. Small, intimate, and, without a doubt, life-course changing....for me at least. The land was beautiful, the people were fun, insightful, playful, and with it....and....the weather played along nicely as well. However, it wasn't so much the party that was the life-course changer....it was the offer to move there and be creative. Normally this is the type of thing that I would encourage others to do if it was offered to them. Explain what a great opportunity....to live in a beautiful house, surrounded by beautiful land, and to work on whatever their pretty little hearts desired with such an eclectic, generous, insightful, creative, ingenious person as Tim...not to mention his family and friends. However, it wasn't something that I would have pounced on. Not because I wouldn't have wanted to, I would, but because it would mean taking someone up on their generous offer, of putting off my other responsibilities (read: debt payments), and more than anything....because....really.....it's hard for me to accept something that I don't believe that I deserve. There are people who are far more talented than I, that are FAR more deserving, but here I am, being offered the opportunity that I had been asking the universe for.....and I was seriously thinking about turning it down. *slaps forehead and rolls eyes*

So, come the beginning-mid-September I'll be moving into Tim's house, picking up my paint brushes, pens, papers, and more and working....happily....on creating, for a bare-minimum of one month....we'll see what happens from there. I'm sure that I'll be doing other stuff as well....he needs some help organizing things....and I LOVE to organize so I wouldn't pass that up.

I'm ready to see what the universe has in store for me....and I can show the universe what I have in store for it.</div>

    </a>
<div>I know, I know. It's been over a week now since I've been back. It's been hard for me to sort my feelings, thoughts, and experiences of this years event. Even now, just sitting down to write this up has me swelling with emotions, memories, and thoughts. It's kind of a jangled mess in my head, though it always is.

InterFuse 2007 was the BEST InterFuse EVER! Of course I've been sayin' that every year....2004 til now, and it's the truth. Every year IS the best. It just keeps getting better and better. The core community is there and every year it's added to, grows, adjusts. The art is there....and again, every year it grows. Gifting abounded this year in ways that were visible and feel-able in years past, but in such a great surge that it would be hard for me to think that someone could/would leave there without having felt it (by giving OR recieving).

Last year I said that IF had finally come into it's own, that it was it's own beast, and this year we REALLY saw that in action. Even with the weather seemingly against the event pre-entrance and the first day, we still saw more people returning, and showing up for their first burn ever. Again we did that magic that we always do, makin' the clouds part, the mud dry up, and the sun shine shine shine. Though I for one could have done with a few little puffy clouds or more breezes here and there. Over all mother nature seemed to delight in playing with us as we played with/in her. Few things are as cool as seeing the magic we create in real time. Manifest!

Oh the people that I met! I don't think that I've met as many cool, wonderful, loving, fun fun fun people (all in one place) as I met this year at IF. Not only were these people up to great things at the event, but they're takin' it back out with them into the real/default/mundane/normal world with them. Sharing of themselves, their time, and their skills. It's something to see. People were out sharing their skills with others....everything from contact juggling, poi, hoop, silks to metal cutting with an acetylene torch, dream interpretation, and more.

I spent so much time with a smile on my face (sur-prize, sur-prize....lord knows *I* never smile.....taste the sarcasm) and laughter bubblin' up that I'm surprised I didn't burst something. I think between the lack of sleep, the beer, and the general atomosphere of the event and the participants there was little to no way that I could get away with NOT being so very very happy. Thank you to all of you who I laughed and smiled with. I'm smiling right now just thinkin' about it.

Over all IF is not only the beginning of my burning year, the one event that I *MUST* attend, but it's always the first day of my awakening from the hibernation of depression and loneliness that is winter for me. IF gets me out of my funk, shows me a new way to view the world....well..not really a new way, but it takes away those really bad blahs that I fight through every winter. It's the light at the end of that really long and tiring tunnel. IF doesn't save my life, but it does save my sanity. Every year, without fail. Thank you not only to the organizers, but to the participants and friends that make it possible. With out this wonderful event to look forward to, to attend, and to ulitimately learn and grow from it would probably be a slower waking, and a lot less fun.</div>

Traits for Finding a Lifelong Mate (Friends, lovers, etc.....)

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/poosiekat/blog/841a34cb-e9fe-417c-933b-3aa155e305ad"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/a41/715/a41715ab-92d8-464c-8441-20fe88f0449e.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>Traits for Finding a Lifelong Mate
by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

1. Choose someone as though you were blind. Close your eyes and see what you can FEEL; their kindness, loyalty, insight, devotion, their ability to be concerned with you, their ability to care for themselves as an independent being.

2. Choose a person who has the ability to learn, explore new ways of doing things and perceiving things, who is curious, and who is EVOLVING.

3. Choose someone who is willing to be like you....strong like a tree, but flexible in the wind. Someone who is sensitive and who has the ability to see what is around them......who is AWAKE and alert.

4. Chooses someone who when you hurt them, they are willing to show it; and when they hurt you, they see it and are sorry. Choose someone who can perceive your pain and feel for you about it.

5. Choose someone who has an INNER LIFE that they love, who is on their own journey - and who wants a partner on their own journey.

6. Choose someone who has similar passions as your own. A relationship is for making similar memories together, doing things TOGETHER - this is the GLUE of the relationship during hard times. It can be very simple.

7. Choose someone who has similar VALUES about children, money, marriage, family. This decreases the friction in relationship. These need to be worked out before there is a long-term commitment. When the pragmatics in the relationship are mostly taken care of, it is much more easy to SOAR.

8. Choose someone who is COMPASSIONATE, willing and able to listen, who gives equal time.

9. Choose someone who can LAUGH at themselves, or who can stop an argument in mid-sentence.

10. Be able to overlook certain faults and characteristics. KNOW WHAT YOU CAN LIVE WITH. Anything that takes a person away from their soul life, or not telling the truth, or a person who cannot face you after making a mistake and who tries to cover it over in a dramatic, large way instead....this would be starting a relationship on a swamp ground.

11. Be FRIENDS, not just lovers. Are you willing to do for your partner what you would do for your good friend?

12. ****VERY IMPORTANT*****...When you choose, choose someone who makes your life bigger rather than smaller."</div>

    </a>
<div>This is by far the favorite of my four favorite seasons. It's the beauty of the colors, the chilling of the air, and the scents that waft in and out with nary a trace to follow them by. Oh, and I can't forget to mention fire......fire fire everywhere. Even the trees are in on it with their yellow/orange/red leaves in the dark setting sun. Everything winding down for the winter nap. So, in dedication to the gorgeous change of seasons I thought that I would share facts and poems with you all.

Nothing Gold Can Stay
by Robert Frost

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold,
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Nature XXVII, Autumn
by Emily Dickinson

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.

Leaves
by Eloise N. Brady

How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.
At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Gathering Leaves
by Robert Frost

Spades take up leaves
No better than spoons,
And bags full of leaves
Are light as balloons.
I make a great noise
Of rustling all day
Like rabbit and deer
Running away.
But the mountains I raise
Elude my embrace,
Flowing over my arms
And into my face.
I may load and unload
Again and again
Till I fill the whole shed,
And what have I then?
Next to nothing for weight,
And since they grew duller
From contact with earth,
Next to nothing for color.
Next to nothing for use.
But a crop is a crop,
And who's to say where
The harvest shall stop?

10,000
by Wu Men

Ten thousand flowers in spring,
the moon in autumn,
a cool breeze in summer,
snow in winter.

If your mind isn't clouded
by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life.

Autumn Poem
by S.K.Lindeman

Honied yellow dripping gold,
     Leaf of autumn
          in the cold
     Dancing on
          in crisp despair
     Whirling on
          enchanted air
     Falling silently to
          earthen tomb
     Away from tree's
          rooted arm
     Perhaps the silence
          broken then
     By hollow cries
          of autumn grief
    Synchronized with
          the falling leaf

Fall Song
by Mary Oliver

Another year gone, leaving everywhere
its rich spiced residues: vines, leaves,

the uneaten fruits crumbling damply
in the shadows, unmattering back

from the particular island
of this summer, this NOW, that now is nowhere

except underfoot, moldering
in that black subterranean castle

of unobservable mysteries - - -roots and sealed seeds
and the wanderings of water. This

I try to remember when time's measure
painfully chafes, for instance when autumn

flares out at the last, boisterous and like us longing
to stay - - - how everything lives, shifting

from one bright vision to another, forever
in these momentary pastures.

A blade of grass
by K.Gibran

Said a blade of grass to an autumn leaf, "You make such a noise falling! You scatter all my winter dreams."

Said the leaf indignant, "Low-born and low-dwelling! Songless, peevish thing! You live not in the upper air and you cannot tell the sound of singing."

Then the autumn leaf lay down upon the earth and slept. And when spring came she waked again -- and she was a blade of grass.

And when it was autumn and her winter sleep was upon her, and above her through all the air the leaves were falling, she muttered to herself, "O these autumn leaves! They make such a noise! They scatter all my winter dreams."

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Autumn (also known as fall in North American English) is one of the four temperate seasons, the transition from summer into winter. In the temperate zones, autumn is the season during which most crops are harvested, and deciduous trees lose their leaves. It is also the season where days rapidly get shorter and cooler, the nights rapidly get longer, and of gradually increasing precipitation in some parts of the world.

Astronomically, some Western countries consider autumn to begin with the autumnal equinox (around September 23) in the Northern hemisphere, and the vernal equinox (March 21) in the southern hemisphere), ending with the winter solstice (around December 21 in the Northern hemisphere) and the summer solstice (June 21) in the Southern hemisphere). Such conventions are by no means universal, however. An exception to these definitions is found in the Irish Calendar which still follows the Celtic cycle, where Autumn is counted as the whole months of August, September and October. In Chinese astronomy, the autumnal equinox marks the middle of autumn, which is deemed to have begun around the time of Liqiu (around August 7).

On the other hand, meteorologists count the entire months of March, April and May in the Southern hemisphere, and September, October and November in the Northern hemisphere as autumn.

Albeit the days begin to shorten after the summer solstice, it is usually in September (Northern Hemisphere) or March (Southern Hemisphere) when twilight becomes noticeably shorter and the change more abrupt in comparison with the more lingering ones of summer.

Autumn is often defined as the start of the school year, since they usually begin in early September or early March). Either definition, as with those of the seasons generally, is somewhat flawed because it assumes that the seasons are all of the same length, and begin and end at the same time throughout the temperate zone of each hemisphere.

THE CHEMISTRY OF AUTUMN COLORS

Every autumn across the Northern Hemisphere, diminishing daylight hours and falling temperatures induce trees to prepare for winter. In these preparations, they shed billions of tons of leaves. In certain regions, such as our own, the shedding of leaves is preceded by a spectacular color show. Formerly green leaves turn to brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red. These color changes are the result of transformations in leaf pigments.

The green pigment in leaves is chlorophyll. Chlorophyll absorbs red and blue light from the sunlight that falls on leaves. Therefore, the light reflected by the leaves is diminished in red and blue and appears green. The molecules of chlorophyll are large (C55H70MgN4O6). They are not soluble in the aqueous solution that fills plant cells. Instead, they are attached to the membranes of disc-like structures, called chloroplasts, inside the cells. Chloroplasts are the site of photosynthesis, the process in which light energy is converted to chemical energy. In chloroplasts, the light absorbed by chlorophyll supplies the energy used by plants to transform carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and carbohydrates, which have a general formula of Cx(H2O)y. </div>

    </a>
<div>Today, as I felt the air brush against my skin, I remembered lovers past.

No one lover specifically, simply a general remembering.
Walks, canoe rides, fishing trips, or lazily sitting on a deck/porch/carhood during the warm summer months.
Sneaking in and out of a bedroom window because we didn't want to upset his roommate.
Talking about what our dream house (together) would look like.
Naps in the sun.
Horse play in the pool.
Loud, hot sex with all the curtainless windows thrown open to capture as much breeze as was possible.

I never did such things when I was a teenager, only once I reached my twenties. It makes me wonder what's in store for my thirties. Though the make-out sessions of my teens were something spectacular. A whole other realm of memories, sensations, and sly smiles. </div>

    </a>
<div>Last night I went to a friends house to hang out, chat, and generally have a chill good time. This involved a bit of drinking....less on my part, but still I partook. There was music. Good music. Dancin', hoopin', booty shakin' (though not all bassed out) music playin'. David Byrne, Tom Waits, random. We're down in the basement bar, drinkin' beer. I go out and get my hoop and start hoopin'/dancin' to the music. It was such a great feeling. Normally when I hoop it's just me hoopin'...no music....just the rhythm of the hoop, my blood-flow, and the traffic on the road. This....this was something all together different. This was quite a high. This was dancing, sexual, gyrating, sensual, aerobic. I danced with and without the hoop. I danced with and for my friend. A move was attempted, but softly denied....the dancing became better, more visreal, sensual....more of a story we were tell with one another. I found my motion, my groove, my flow last night. I was allowed to tease and it was appreciated for the fun that it is, the build-up that may or may not ever come. The sensual/sexual dance that doesn't end with an orgasm, but builds upon itself each time. Energizing.

I look forward to doing this again pretty soon. I need to do this often.</div>

<div>Dear Burners, Friends and Like Minded People

Entheon Village is proud and excited to present the community with its next large fundraising event, Entheon Convergence on Friday, June 23rd, 2006.

Entheon Village and Arise Productions have been working hard to design a collaborative evening showcasing local and national talent in all realms of the senses.

Building on the vibe, creativity and experience of Entheon Foundation in May, Convergence develops the concept of a full sensory experience even further. Showcasing the live painting of Alex and Allyson Grey along with multiple other live painters, over 18 musical artists, more performances, an outdoor area and a larger gallery space with more art work for sale and viewing pleasure, Convergence will definitely be an evening you won't want to miss.

On Saturday evening, following Convergence, a silent auction will take place featuring the created artworks from previous events along with prints and originals from supporting artists to raise funds for the Entheon Village project. All information located at bottom of this email.

InterFuse thoughts

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/poosiekat/blog/bce46d11-8d00-4abf-945e-ceac8f6b6feb"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/7c4/7bf/7c47bff3-1d03-482a-a0a5-0731a6036c54.thumb" width="65" height="65" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>I've put this off for a few days....just to mull it around in my head a little more....though I'm not sure that I've fully left OA yet.

Okay...a few words that I heard bandied about this past weekend: moist (bringing all the elements together in one place...definitely helped make for a truly magical time), beautiful (from the location to the people to the art), awe-some (most definitely), amazing (without a doubt), and many more, though they weren't used in quite the frequency as the above.

I've been going to InterFuse since it's beginning (2004) and have loved it every year, but this year felt like it had actually come into it's own...that the imputeous that Zay, Lohr, Aldric, and all the other beautiful people who have put so much into it since moment one has given this event a life of it's own. It's a wonderful movement to witness. To see this thing...this event...this idea bloom into something that moves and flows of it's own accord...that is drawing in more people every year, bringing back folks from the year before, and giving more people a reason...a place....a way to express themselves. It's something to look forward to each year....a yearly sabbatical..........it's become more important to go to InterFuse every year than to the playa....make that short and wonderful trek to the Ozarks every year....to connect and reconnect with all these beautiful, wonderful, creative people from the midwest and farther abroad. Interfuse is a great example of how it can be done....how it can go so very right.....

There was a point after the burn on Saturday when Bee Bop was talking about how he had made his teeter-totter (which was amazingly fun to play on and to fall off of) with found, junk, objects.....and it hit me....if the world was to fall apart I was with the people that I would search out first...the ones that know how to not only survive, but to make survival a pleasurable experience. These are people that know how to take care of themselves, that know how to reuse those things that others toss out as junk and turn them into something fun and beautiful and many times quite useful, and who have so much love and beauty to share with everyone.

All in all I had a blast.........of course I don't think there was any doubt that I would.</div>

    </a>
<div>Today I deleted e-mails from an ex that I should have deleted a LONG long time ago. Some of them made me mad all over again, some actually threatened to bring tears to my eyes, and some made me feel a little better. Through reviewing our relationship in this fast and sloppy way, coupled with everything that I now know that I didn't know then, I feel better about our being parted. Though sending something to it's internet death isn't nearly as satisfying as setting it on fire, it still has done the job that I needed it to. </div>

										<div>monsieur Dan
can i come with you
as you both look awfully kind

sadly he and me are through
let me tell you what i've got in mind
i'll sing to you my mewing charm
looks like you both could use a pet
and purr my purr all night long
i think a pussy's your best bet

stroke that shiny coat
stroking is the antidote
stroke that, it's a start
only for the wild at heart
stroke that shiny coat
stroking is the antidote
stroke that shiny coat
stroking's what it's all about

my tail alone could tell you tales
it's got a life all of its own
watch it move just like a sail
sail you to the twilight zone
i love to lap a spot cream
and i assure you that i'm neat
but you never know what you can expect
when the pussy is in heat

stroke that shiny coat
stroking is the antidote
stroke that, it's a start
only for the wild at heart
stroke that shiny coat
stroking is the antidote
stroke that shiny coat
stoking's what it's all about

i like to watch, if you don't mind
every sphinx knows how to pass the time
your little love nest suits me well
let me show you how to cast a spell

stroke that shiny coat
stroking is the antidote
stroke that it's a start
only for the wild at heart
stroke that shiny coat
stroking is the antidote
stroke that shiny coat
stroking's what it's all about

Always Marry An April Girl

    </a>
<div>Praise the spells and bless the charms,
I found April in my arms.
April golden, April cloudy,
Gracious, cruel, tender, rowdy;
April soft in flowered languor,
April cold with sudden anger,
Ever changing, ever true --
I love April, I love you.
