Re: to paint or not to paint my bike (in Bike Pirates) I don't know.

I find that painting a bike is a lot of work since you have to disassemble the whole thing, then mask off the areas you don't want painted, then sand it down to metal, then add one, two, or as many as twenty coats of paint to the... read more

Re: Save my bacon! (in 2008 Burning Man Virgins) For some reason, many of the Americans I have ever met think that Poutine is somewhat disgusting.

Gravy and cheese curds on french fries? I think it's a great snack food that's sooo filling. Not a bad idea to bring poutine to burning man, I won... read more

Save my bacon! (in 2008 Burning Man Virgins) Since I have heard that bacon is oh, so delicious out on the playa, are there any tips and techniques you can use to help preserve your bacon?

Also, I am from Canada. Peameal bacon or 'back' bacon is pretty popular here. Do they sell this stuff... read more

Doctor Snuggles (in 80's Cartoon) Does anyone remember this British cartoon about a pudgy professor who lived in a talking house? He had the most bizarre friends, such as the Cat Lady who lived in a tree with a hundred cats, including the talking cosmic cat from Promixa Centauri? ... read more

From Bishop Timothy Price:

Thank You For Being A Friend
( Andrew Gold )

Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down a road and back again
Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

If it's a car you lack
I'd surely buy you a Cadillac
Whatever you need any time of the day or night

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear even though it's hard to hear
I will stand real close and say
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

And when we die
And float away
Into the night
The milky way
You'll hear me call
As we ascend
I'll say your name
Then once again

Thank you for being a friend

My Blog

While I was surfing the net I came across this article. It is an excerpt from a blog which is about making improvements to the city I now live in, Hamilton, Ontario. It's an article about the Hamilton Armories, constructed in 1906. There is a bit of a write up about the regiment which I was in, the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada. This might be referred to as the 'Army Reserves' in the United States, but in Canada this is referred to as the 'Militia'. I was a member of the Argylls... read more

This is in regards to Ron Paul's decision to vote against giving Rosa Parks a congressional medal of honour.

www.youtube.com/watch

Ron Paul has also voted against giving a congressional medal of honour to former President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II.

For the record, I would have also voted against giving a medal to Ronald Reagan and the Pope as well. I have scores of reasons for this.
However, I would vote strongly IN FAVOR of a Congressional medal of ho... read more
