Funeral for a Burner in Hamilton, Ontario

   Sun, October 31, 2010 - 3:20 PM
On October 26th, 2010 our friend Keith Adney finished his long battle with cancer.

Keith was a beloved member of our 'maker space' family here in Hamilton. His physical presence will be missed, yet his influence will always be felt and remembered.

Not only was Keith a member of the local maker space community here in Hamilton, Ontario but he was also part of the Burning Man family.

When I told Keith about my attempt to go to Burning Man, he told me that he remembered going to Burning Man when it first started on Baker's beach, while he was a skydiving instructor in California.

The visitation for Keith will be on Monday, November 1 from 5 – 8 pm at the Truscott, Brown & Dwyer Funeral Home – 1309 King Street East in Hamilton, Ontario. The funeral will be held at the same place on the following day, Tuesday, November 2 at 11am, followed by a reception for everyone to share their stories.

Since many of Keith's biological family and his many friends are in the United States and will be unable to attend the funeral, arrangements are being made to broadcast the funeral on the internet so that those that knew and loved him can share in the bereavement. Those who wish to do so may share their respects through the link below.
