anyone available to help me move august 4th? i won't have a lot of stuff, just some boxes and some furniture. i really need help moving my couch, my bed, and some stuff. all not so very heavy, it's just that it will be a two person job at least. who's down for a moving party? to be followed by food and beer/drinks! i'll have a moving truck and i really want to do it all in one trip. everything will be packed up and ready to go. it'll just be a matter of moving everything down to the truck and off to the new place! much fun will be had! hit me up if you can help! much thanks in advance!

48 Hour Film Project!

This is an open call for actors, filmmakers, editors, musicians, or anyone with talent or just enthusiasm to have some fun! The 48 Hour Film Project takes place on June 15th through 17th. I expect to shoot the morning of Saturday, June 16th, for most of the day. Editing will take place Saturday night through Sunday up until the deadline time. We have 48 hours to make a short 3-7 minute film based on certain criteria obtained at the kick-off party on Friday, June 15th. Criteria (or elements) that will be chosen that night include: - A Character - A Prop - A Line of Dialogue - A Genre (to be chosen out of a hat at random) My team is called Lame Title Productions and I already have a wonderful selection of talented people, but I'm always looking for more talent and production help! We're completely amateur and we're just out to have some fun and make a film. This will be a no-budget production. i am very sad. my roommate is leaving the wonderful world of san francisco to the albeit somewhat wonderful chicago. so i need a roommate! if anyone knows anyone or if anyone is looking, please message me for details. i will post a detail-filled formal bulletin later. i just thought i'd throw it out there first before i go deep into the search process. most of you have been to my place already, so you know the where (mission/upper market/castro) and what it looks like. here's some info: $600 for 1 room in a 2 bdrm apartment. $650 deposit + pro-rated rent at move-in. Move-in October 21st, but can be flexible. no later than Nov. 1st. okay... that should be enough info. it would be great if i can get someone through friends and not have to do the whole craigslist interview nightmare! thanks! Ride needed from SF to Berkeley this Friday

Hey everyone! I need a ride from SF to Berkeley to haul my stuff for Burning Man on Friday. I don't have a lot, I just have enough to make my BART ride uncomfortable. So I was hoping to throw it out there in case anyone with a car who doesn't work normal 9-5 jobs is available to give me a lift. Hello everyone! a BIG BIG THANK YOU to all those who came out to the party and ESPECIALLY those who were in the film! i thought we did a pretty good job and i'm happy with the end result! i really do think this film is gonna rock and i could not have done it without you! a SPECIAL BIG THANKS for my actors and impromptu actors and crew! i thought i was getting in over my head a bit, but you guys definitely pulled through on your part! no doubt! BUT THE FUN'S NOT OVER! please join us at Zeitgeist (NE Corner of Duboce and Valenica) in SF TONIGHT at 9pm for the film festival. it should be $5 cover. show starts at 9, but they suggest to come early because it could get pretty packed. i'll be there at 8! i would love it if you joined me to help celebrate before the films start showing. the winner will be announced after the show, the audience votes! so i need YOU once more! for all of you to come and cheer on my film! (assuming you'll like it, and which i'm sure you will!) so come to ZEITGEIST tonight! have a beer, watch some short films! hey guys! i'm having a party at my house this saturday night. August 12th. here's the deal: i'm doing a short film this weekend and i need to shoot a few short party scenes/clips. i need as many people as i can get to stand around and look like their having fun, or to act out a few sequences. it will take about an hour or two, hopefully less! then afterwards... hey guys, i signed up for a 36 hour film festival and i need your help! if you can assist with anything, let me know! i'll need actors, sound equipment, video equipment, editors, writers, dvd burnings, go-getters and go-fors, background, sets, costumes, designers, etc... anything and everything i can get my hands on! this will be a low-to-no budget film. probably somewhat crappy, unless we all work together and quickly! it'll be fun and collaborative! and it will be something to turn in! message me! let me know you want in! we meet saturday, august 12th at 10am at Zeitgeist in San Francisco to find out what "ingredients" we will need to incorporate in the film and have til Sunday, August 13th at 10pm to turn it in! who's in??

i've come a long way baby

so as a little experiment i've been wanting to do for awhile, i thought i'd throw all of my photos (over 4000) from iphoto into imovie and add music to it. i set each photo at .03 seconds a piece and the results were epic! well, to me at least. it's like seeing my life flash before my eyes, well, about a little bit over two years of it anyway. i'm so glad that i don't really ever delete any photos i take. i keep even the crappy ones, the ones out of focus, the hundreds of shots of one action. i knew they'd come in handy eventually. to me, this is like the ultimate slideshow! so, check it out if you want, let me know what you think? it would be nice to know what it looks like to an unbiased eye. as for me, i'm partial to these images. i know their stories. i'm especially attached to the emotions they incite. i put up two versions. one really small and one larger version. i had a medium version, but the compression ruined the rhythm of the whole thing and it was just too choppy. if you are able to, i say download the larger version. http://www.anthonyriva.com/video/moments_large.mov (426X320, 45mb) http://www.anthonyriva.com/video/moments_small.mov (160X120, 9.3mb) you'll need quicktime to view it.
